My favorite part of the arjan review: www.arjanwrites.com/arjanwrites/2012/02/adam-lambert-better-than-i-know-myself-video-review.html#.Ty7LouL2t-M.twitterIt may be just a storyline for the video, but it's also a fitting nod to Lambert's own artistry that balances between dealing with people's expectations, and his ongoing desire to take risks and to push his boundaries as an entertainer. It's those two very public sides of him that make Lambert truly one of the most exciting new male forces in pop to reckon with. Adam NEEDS to take risks. It's in his DNA. I know that no matter how sweet Adam is the "dark" side of him is always pushing, pushing, pushing. He's easily bored, rarely 100% satisfied and that keeps him dancing on the edge. It's exciting to watch. But it's also gratifying to know that "light" Adam is there to catch him when he falls or steps deliberately over that edge, and can temper him when he needs to connect on a more healthy, balanced personal level.

Has anyone seen a nice clear screenshot of the part where Adam is seated, looking upward? The expression on his face is my favorite thing in the world... Here's a capture I made from that shot. I love the look on his face as well. I have been a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up with reading all the posts since I watched the video break at 3:00 a.m. WOW is about all I can say. I'm very proud of Adam and his fans and can't wait for this album to drop.

The thing about all this light vs. dark is that both are necessary and neither could exist independent of the other. Just as with yin/yang, masculine/feminine, order/chaos and so on it is not about being one or the other but about a balancing of the two. And as with all of them, the traits of one side are required to balance traits of the other side. Light-siders may call upon pro-active characteristics of the dark side help them navigate life and dark-siders need light side characteristics such as self-discipline to focus their attention. A properly balanced system will operate more efficiently- when combined and balanced the sum of the two is greater than its parts. It's all about the balance between the two- lack of balance makes for a confused and unhappy life. As my mother used to tell me- moderation in all things. Even moderation

THIS. PERFECT. Leila told us "He is on the edge. That's who he is"

I do not consider myself less of a fan, or uncommitted to openness, or cowardly in any way. I don't think people need to feel bad about their decisions regarding how or what they share. I agree. Everyone must make that decision about what they are comfortable with. It does not make you a bad fan if you choose not to share.

LOLOL forever, NoAngel, at your Tale of Two Adams. Poor grouchy Adam!: He wants to adopt a healthier lifestyle like his sexy next-door neighbor, but making juice without a juicer is a messy business. He mocks his neighbor but he secretly longs to go over there and pop him some corn and mend the holes in his sweater. Life sucks, basically. And all is not peachy in Light Adam's world, either: He longs for popcorn but none is to be had. His tea is tepid and his next-door neighbor keeps staring at him. Light Adam wishes he could meet Dark Adam and help him take care of his plants better. He wishes he could teach him how to play chess. But even the Queen's Gambit fails to win over his Dark neighbor. Life sucks. The longing! The passion! The desire! (That's just me, I wanna sminch them both...)
