Apart from the numbers and calculations, all we have here is opinion and the expression of feelings. Feelings are not right or wrong. Some people feel more strongly than others in general and some people feel more strongly than others about specific topics. This is not right or wrong. They are only feelings nothing less and nothing more. If they bring anxiety, three simple breaths and thoughts about hot fudge brownies just out of the oven and it's a whole new space. No one's feelings are going to cause terrible things to happen. No one is wrong for feeling what they feel. Everyone has a right to what they feel. I have had to remind myself of this on many an occasion here  It is funny, and I say this with all due respect, to suggest someone should be careful about projecting their feelings onto Adam. The truth is that everyone here projects their feelings and opinions onto Adam, that is part of the pop star phenomenon. Hopefully everyone can recognize this in themselves and thus not judge someone else for doing it. Because we are all in the opinion, feelings, and projection boat no matter how "logical" a person one thinks one is. Well, that is except for me, my opinions are all right.   |

OT but I have to ask: Went to buy hair spray today -- haven't in years (growing bangs out) -- it's like $25 to $35 a can!!! What has happened out there in RL while I was busy scrolling here??? No wonder Adam is doing all these festivals and such -- maintenance! I know. Beauty products are not cheap these days. I have girls that are so into trying out all these new beauty stuff So we all know that Adam will make LOTS OF $$ on this concert with Queen. You guys want to take a guest? 1 million, 2mil lower or higher ..what?? I know i know we will never know the amount he will pocket on these festivals. My guess is at least a miilion with all his expenses paid and no band expenses for him! zero! I would guess that the Japanese festival is probably close to that but he will have to pay his band. |

Also, as we know, a person can be happily going along, supporting Adam's vision (yay glitter), only to find that Adam takes a detour or a different path (yay realness). We're only in his second era-- who knows what he's gonna be into in the years to come? I'm actually really curious to see the other choices Adam makes as time goes on. I hope he never becomes predictable, but there is no evidence to indicate that will ever happen. Regardless of how I might feel about any particular choice he might make, I find him and his choices, and their execution, fascinating. For some reason, I find it interesting that he labeled this era "realness" a LONG time ago, and somehow, even though there have been twists and turns and an artistic evolution throughout the last year, "realness" has remained a fitting label and an ongoing theme. How does he do that? I guess on some level it's something that resonates with where he is now so of course it all fits. And he knew that when he chose the label. Sorry for spamming the thread. OMFG, I'm appalled at how long I've been here today. Had a day off with lots of goals to accomplish and here I am. Familiar story?  |

Perhaps the effect for BTIKM, from Queen news, has been a slight i-Tunes bump. His spins haven't increased, and yet, BTIKM was in the low 900s 2 days ago and now it is right around 780. Also, the video was at #45 2 days ago and now it is at #34. Yesterday and earlier today, it was higher! |

Peak #31 Last week #31 This Week #32 ADAM LAMBERT Better Than I Know M... 19/RCA 2011 Spins TW 510 LW 501 Change +9 (This is 7 days vs. 7 days) Stations playing 44 up 2 from yesterday Average spins per station TW 8.6 LW 8.5 +0.2 TW vs. LW -- down 0.2 since yesterday On Pop radio, it is #64 this week vs. #63 last week in spin rank. LAMBERT, ADAM Better Than I Know Myself Spins this week 242 last week 193 change +49 Total Audience Impression past 7 days 0.745 (in millions) I think the numbers speak for themselves -- BTIKM is stalled or has peaked. It has enough adds to move up the charts -- particularly on HAC. The fate of this track is in the hands of radio listeners and fans. If PDs and DJs hear that their audience wants to hear BTIKM, they will play it. I talked to several PDs who added BTIKM to their playlist -- they tell me they are not getting requests.
ETA: Now is when requesting BTIKM really matters. It is at a tipping point. And this is when a few fans can make a difference. I'm a little confused by what you said in the bolded part above.. There have been posters here who have been requesting regularly and still don't hear BTIKM played with any frequency. Also, does everything that's played on the radio require requests? It was my impression that it was up to the PDs as to how often a song gets played and what kind of rotation it's on, and not on requests. I listen to KLLC and I can't believe that some of the songs they play have many requests at all, and yet it seems they are spinning BTIKM less, which I noticed today. Some of these songs they play are old songs, yet a new song like BTIKM is getting less spins. It's all very confusing.. ??? |

Ok, this is my last post for today, I promise. Just had a chance to watch the Point interview (with the awkward, embarrassing interviewer) and Adam looked better than he ever has, seriously. I feel like I keep saying that, but OMG. I loved his outfit, I LOOOOVED his swoopy hair, and his face...gahh, just gorgeous. Are there any screencaps floating around from that interview? My favorite look EVER (until the next one, lol). Also, maybe we already knew this (?) but that was the first time I heard him talk about the significance of the leather pouch.
