I don't really think he needs to talk before the song, to me that seems like overkill and hitting you over the head with the message when it's not in a concert setting where banter is expected. I think the song's lyrics speak for themselves. Well, I don't think he needs to explain the lyrics, but I do want HIM to talk about the Trevor Project. I'd rather not trust Seacrest with that. And he's so articulate (Adam, that is, not Ryan) that I'd love for him to have the opportunity to say a few words about it.

Just want everyone to be reminded about the Trevor Project, and how the new dancey version will be available for sale on AO. Oh yeah, definitely! I imagine it will be right after the song, similar to last year's post-WWFM conversation with Ryan.

NoAngel you hit the nail on the head again, you get it & I cry.I haven't cried this much in years and it's all good. I'm crying because I'm so touched by all of you and by Adam,I cry because I am so hopeful that there will be a positive change in people's perceptions and a greater hunger for diversity,I cry because I am over come with happiness for Adam and for us.I cry because Adam has so impacted my life for the last two years ,I cry because there is no better place for me than to be here on Adamtopia.Thank you

NoAnGelAftermath is so much more than the other feel good about yourself songs. It comes from Adam's own experience and you can feel that when he sings.

Wow what an inspiring beginning to the day. I love when I wake up on Sunday morning, grab a cup of coffee and sit down to read the early Atop posts. It's always the way I start my Sunday.
Q3 I'm hoping for really good camera work on the Idol performance. I want the camera to capture the emotions Adam will surely be conveying during this performance. Those of us who love and follow Adam will feel the lyrics and I'm hoping that those who are not familiar with Aftermath will come to love it and "get" the meaning of this very powerful anthem. I think camera work can play a part in accomplishing this.
NoAngel BB what can I say? You know how I feel about your weekly essays. It's already been said that you've out done yourself. Well I guess I'll say I agree! Always so inspiring, thoughtful and as I love to say magical! Thank you once again. You truly make me think and laugh every single Sunday morning.
Kapsiz I admire you...I admire you for the step you've take for yourself and for those you love and who love you. You are brave. There can never be too many hugs and here's another for you. ((((((HUG))))))
One more thing, SusieFierce I want to tell you that although I missed last night's appearance of Anthro, I did see the roasted banana gelato this morning and...I grabbed it with my grabby hands! Anthro's promised me that gelato for months and I wasn't going to miss the opportunity this time!

The important stuff: What about his hair, make-up and costume? He’ll look great! Prediction #6: I am expecting Adam to show up with a natural, accessible look with a “rock” edge. Prediction #7: Something from Skingraft will be involved. Prediction #8: He will have only one necklace on.
In my best Adam voice: Bitch, please.........

Good morning, everyone!
Thanks, Q3, for your predictions, I am sure one of them will come true!
Thanks, NoAngel, great read about Aftermath and its comparison to other "Anthems".
kapsiz, thanks for sharing your Idol tour Adam's pictures, I didn't get to go, but what's a memory to all that went.
And of course, I can't wait until Thursday!! *sigh*

Noangel: You are such a beautiful writer! *sigh* It's such a gift to be able to express what you are thinking and feeling so clearly and eloquently . Thank you. I'll confess that when I first heard album Aftermath, I thought it was cheesy and the lyrics didn't resonate with me at all. I skipped it every time when listening to FYE. Then along came acoustic Aftermath and WOW, like so many of you, it got my attention. The lyrics were now poignant and personal and I cried watching Adam sing this live. In fact, it still brings tears to my eyes. And, I've gone back and listened to album Aftermath and you know what...I still hate it ..(just kidding!) I appreciate it much more now. It's the rough draft to the beautifully realized acoustic version.
