Lynne, did you just delete the post with the You Tube of your son? I was trying to put up a link, but it didn't work, LOL... Then got distracted by my husband having to leave again for Boston. :-/ Don't know what the problem is, but I've had probs with really long links. Sometimes, I shorten them on bit.ly, just paste it in and it generates a new short link. I think people use it for twitter or maybe it's done automatically on twitter, don't know. bit.ly/

[grin] My daughter is currently asleep in her bed curled around a stuffed "Killer Bunny with Big Teeth". (Actually a little peeved about that...that's MY killer bunny!!! ;D ) Hubby offered to buy me a pair of Killer Bunny slippers the last time we went to see Spamalot. However, no matter how much I *really* want a pair of toothy, slavering slippers (I do! I do!), I couldn't justify the price they were selling them for at the theater, particularly since they didn't have the slightly larger size I was looking for. Husband bought me the stuffed bunny when I wasn't looking instead. :D Still want a pair sometime tho'! May have to look online. You're killing me!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I just read this really fascinating article over at the Huffington Post about how creative people are more complex than most people. I especially resonated with what the author had to say about extroversion and introversion -- that creative people tend to be not so much one or the other, but BOTH. For example, I am (among other things) a singer and performer and a friend of mine once said that she thought I was the most "introverted extrovert she had ever met." Heh. This article really made me think about Adam -- especially the parts where some researchers interviewed a number of musicians and wrote about their public and private personas -- they "juggled many faces". I think one of the reasons so many of us find Adam so interesting to follow is that he successfully juggles many "faces" that are part of his complex whole. Here is the link: www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-barry-kaufman/creative-people_b_829563.htmlWhat do you guys think? I didn't want to post many quotes from the article here for copyright reasons...

I can quote WAY too much Monty Python... a group of us in college used to go around quoting Python...yes, they were my theater and music friends (which is probably why we sang "every sperm is sacred" in the cafeteria one day--it was hilarious and people thought we were nuts).

OK I cannot make this tie to AFL easily but there are Death Note versions of Adam. So here is a Death Note version of the Monty Python sketch "Exploding Penguin". And Adam's guitarist is called Monte. Well OK -- this is OT -- Death Note "Penguin on the Telly" Proof of.... 1. Our global neighborhood. 2. The world has gone insane. 3. Jokes sound more intellectual with a British accent. 4. Penguins are the funniest animals. This is so hilarious - I can hardly watch it - cuz of tears of laughter!! ;D ;D ;D OMG, LOOOL!! I can TOTALLY tie this to Adam. At one point or another, he's had every hairstyle on this vid (let's play a matching game!). And being that it is anime – and he is an anime favorite – I can so see him playing almost every character here.

That's an interesting article but I'm not sure it reveals anything startling to me. I can imagine that many performing artists are most comfortble on stage where they can exhibit their extrovert side. Then be introverted off stage. Only knowing what we know of Adam from what he lets us see, though, I don't know if he is an introvert offstage. From accounts of people who know him, he seems to be pretty outoging almost all the time. I think he has even described himself as very social. But MJ's shyness was pretty well known. I believe Beyonce even uses an on stage name for her performing persona. Good read!
