Have I ever said how grateful I am for finding this place. This has been the 'safe' place to me during the times when my boat has been rocking really hard. Now it looks things are getting steadier and it feels so good.
And I've grown fond of so many atopians in a funny way, even met in RL some of us, but nevertheless I can feel so many that I know something of their soul (don't ask). Anyway I'm just so grateful and I love the Bound to You Christina's song. Wish they could do a duet of that Adam and Christina .... one day ....

NoAngel said: But there is also a call to action—“Take a step before you leap,” and “Think of what could be if you rewrite the role you play.” This is a song to encourage you to move forward, even if by only a small step at first, and tells you that you are the creator of your own destiny. It also says that the answer is not to build up a wall around yourself, but to connect with others. “Before you break you have to shed your armor” means that you have to risk being vulnerable in order to transform. When he tells us to “Take a trip and fall into the glitter,” he is saying that we must take that journey towards our goals, and also that a stumble along the way is okay. Life, like glitter, is messy and hard to control, but you have to get into it and risk making mistakes. And from those risks and mistakes we gain character and strength and beauty. We become glitterier!
I love this! NoAngel has once again outdone herself in putting into words the power and message of this song. I have always loved this song, on FYE the background music was a little "busy", but the live acoustic was one of my faves, mainly because Adam always radiated such joy when he sang this, and his vocals were "immaculate".
I am so excited for Thursday's performance that I can barely contain myself! Who knows how Adam will present this song? I think it will be something new, something completely different, something visually spectacular, and Adam will look gorgeous. Well, we all know this already. As I said yesterday, I think it would be way cool if he started out with the acoustic song, and midway thru turned it into the "dance mix" that is going to be available right after the show. I would love it if his dancers came in and made a dance party out of the performance. Would love to see Adam making some dance moves on the stage! It doesn't make sense to me that the remix will be what immediately comes out, without giving us a "taste" of what it sounds like. I think Adam will talk with Ryan after the performance, and he will get a chance to talk about the song, the remix, and that it is a fundraiser for Trevor Project. He will also get to plug Acoustic Live! EP and Glamnation DVD/CD Tour discs.
I also really hope he has a chance to meet and visit with the contestants (behind the scenes), he has so much insight he can bring to them all. Someone mentioned that this year's contestants have more showmanship, and I think that JLo and ST have done a great job in picking peeps that have some stage presence and experience performing already. So different from last year.
I agree with Q that he will only wear one necklace, think the make up will be toned down, and outfit will include a leather jacket.
Mys*&@^#r, you know we are all counting on you to give us all the details asap!

I have been thinking about the upcoming Idol performance by singer-songwriter, GN international pop star Adam Lambert and how Ryan might introduce Adam. -- Ryan will introduce Adam. Last time Adam was there was before he toured the world and before he was GN and before he had a US Billboard Top 10 hit, and a Top 40 follow-up, and several more hits in other countries. It will be beautiful. -- Adam and Ryan should talk after Adam performs. -- They will mention the DVD+CD and Trevor Project single. I had to do some research about it and was "forced" to watch this again -- the last time Adam was on Idol: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgDy-2ZiIJs

Wow, where do I even start??? Beautiful thread so far this morning. I'm so glad, instead of reading Q3 and NoAngel's Sunday posts from my phone in bed, I thought, "No, I'm going to get up, brew a fresh pot of coffee and savor them with my full attention." Wow, so glad I did!!! Kapsiz, ((((HUGS)))) You are so brave. Thank you so much for shedding your armor and sharing that with us. Skylar, your whole post was incredible!! And lol, I don't remember saying that, but thanks for saving!! Q3, love your predictions. I think I pretty much agree. My thoughts: Adam is going to be gorgeous and raw. He's going to look incredible (likely the more natural looks he's been rockin' lately) and tear his heart out with his voice and leave it on the stage. NoAngel, you DID outdo yourself. I really think you should post your essays on a HubPages or other self-publishing site, because they are really incredible and worthy of publication and proliferation. Having them strung together in one place would be incredibly powerful, I think. Also, they would be Google searchable (not that Atop isn't, but your key words and titles would be the drivers), and new fans, old fans, or fans who are trying to understand this whole thing could read your series of essays and be moved beyond belief, IMO. You could always link to Atop too. I wanted to comment on the lines I particularly loved in your essay, but since this is already tl;dr I'll do it in another post. Everyone at Atop!!!

NoAngel, for the first time ever on Adamtopia I cried. Not something I do very often as I am mostly stoic and really prefer the funny and joyful shallow end. However I do have a thoughtful side and in that place this is what Aftermath has meant to me from the very beginning in all its versions and permutations. I have always loved this song. Life is a process and not an event; requiring strength, endurance, and love to get through. Many of us have stories to tell but often those stories are shared with others and so are not ours to narrate but as individuals, we look for and find strength is unexpected places; like songs or forums full of wonderful people with huge hearts and great wisdom.
Today, this morning I have realized that some of my worst unarticulated fears have perhaps at last become just normal everyday life difficulties which can be handled without worrying that every move made is weighted with so many potentially scary outcomes. This is what results from thoughtful words and a beautiful heartfelt song. In other words, the aftermath. So thank you NoAngel and Adam.

I've only three words, WOW and Thank You
I love Adam but it's the funny, creative, passionate people that are his fans that mean just as much to me.
NoAngel, could you put your essays in their own thread so that we can find them to reread? Today's was your best effort yet.
