Random Question but Charity Water related. I have a copy of the 2010? edition of VMAN with Adam pics - some Jonas on the cover. It's still in the wrap - I just never got around to opening it. I'm not usually a collector. I don't want to go through the hassle of eBay or similar. Would offering this somehow result in a donation do you think?
(My brain is mush today and I have to go to dr soonish but welcome any feedback/ideas.)

Dynamics and loyalty of the team is important to Adam. He needs that to be in balance, happy and productive. Tommy seems to be important to that feeling, and thus not easily replaceable, I think. I'm surprised with the Tommy discussion here. Nevertheless, I agree with leenaseyez . I have nothing new to add :-/ apart that I would be very, very sorry if they ended their professional collaboration. Adam parted ways with Monte after so many years and all I had to say was Good riddance because I never thought and felt that Monte shared Adam's artistic vision. Which I think Tommy does. Idk, I never thought that Tommy added anything to the band besides the stagegay stuff :-/ I mean he's loyal and all, but even though he shares Adam's vision, his guitar playing seems to be pretty mediocre at best. His headbanging and walking around in circles on stage were pretty distracting to me whenever the camera would somehow pan away from Adam to him. I'm really regretting that Adam made him lead guitar instead of putting him in the back, on rhythm guitar or something, a part of the ensemble. But it's Adam's choice so whatever... I don't know, I guess I just want Adam to have a good backing band. A band that knows how to work and gel with him, and for them to produce a good foundation of music, to help improve and accompany Adam's live performances, and not distract for being sub par..

Guys, can we stop with posting opinions about whether or not we care about Tommy? It's a promo day and there's plenty of other news to discuss. I'll delete any further posts about this topic. Thanks everyone

Haha, Adam so wrote this article. I'm probably wrong, but this sounds like him, if it's not, I'll happily give my stan card away to Chunkey. Simon went easy on me for the most part, but when I did get berated, it was no fun. I took his comments with a grain of salt because, while Simon had his own track record, it’s not like he discovered Led Zeppelin. You’re talking about a guy whose model was based on putting lukewarm singers together and packaging them into big product, then making millions from force-feeding the public into believing they’re good acts. He obviously knew the show, and I listened to him in that respect, but it’s a lot different when you’re taking criticism from a Steven Tyler — if he were to offer any. And there’s the problem: Everybody needs support, but the harsh reality is, if these acts want to be in this business, they’re going to have to get a few lashings. To regain credibility, Idol needs critical feedback from the judges and critiques that are spot-on.www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/american-idol-fox-season-11-296310?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
No way! Not Adam! He wouldn't say that about Simon or use the example of Led Zeppelin. Nothing about this sounds like Adam to me!

just because this brings smile on my face Catching up on thread...honestly, I mostly lack the stomach (and the balls?) for the numbers thread, but I vote that this fantabulous gif be the official gif of the "DING DING DING" moments. What better bell than this to ring? Brings a huge smile to may face, too, Tantun Coconutgrove ;D. Thanks! ETA: sorry, old habits die hard...

No way! Not Adam! He wouldn't say that about Simon or use the example of Led Zeppelin. Nothing about this sounds like Adam to me! I don't know. I think a few comments such as these, made me think that it maybe was Adam. That said, I've always thought of Idol having a secondary purpose as a sort of music-education hour. With fewer schools able to afford music programs, a lot of kids -- and those in the key demo -- don't understand where the music they're listening to came from and from what it borrows. They probably know Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Otis" but might never have heard of Otis Redding. In that sense, maybe skewing older isn't such a bad thing. He (Simon Cowell) obviously knew the show, and I listened to him in that respect, but it's a lot different when you're taking criticism from a Steven Tyler -- if he were to offer any. And there's the problem: Everybody needs support, but the harsh reality is, if these acts want to be in this business, they're going to have to get a few lashings. To regain credibility, Idol needs critical feedback from the judges and critiques that are spot-on.But after reading it again, yeah maybe it's not Adam. It sounds a little too harsh in some areas.

Tyler was never a judge to Adam. I dunno, it doesn't necessarily read like the "mystery person" WAS judged by Steven...could be from any season. The only thing I thought might indicate it wasn't Adam was the "berating" business. Was Adam ever berated? Even when the judges (Simon) tried to give negative feedback - it was hardly "berating". Do you think it could be that goofy Chris whateverhislastname was? He seemed to love giving AI advice. LOL! mika.....lovely idea. Perhaps offering it as an incentive - ie: the next 10 (or whatever) donations will be entered into a draw for the magazine? ETA: just deleted my second "I dunno" cuz ...well....starting to come across as a dunce. LOL!
