Ugh at the update. Just hoping his off-the-charts charisma is helping to get the song added/played at these radio stations he's visiting. HAC I mean. I've almost given up on CHR.
His charm can only work so far. The listeners have to respond to this song. I swear if another AI alumni single which is about to be release shortly, fairs better than Adam's, I'm going to jump out a window. Yes this is nerve wrecking.
I know I shouldn't be that way, but yes, I'm still competitive in the AI bubble.

Oh ya, this song has a great hook! The "never close our eyes" is very hooky and the whole chorus is a jump up and down with your arms in the air flailing dance song. If the production is good (Dr. Luke, sigh!) it could be a killer! Don't get the concern over this morning's update. We knew Adele would pass him. She is going to pass everyone. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is. She is the wonder child of the past year. And the Wanted and now Fun have the new hot songs. It doesn't show on the abbreviated update that is posted here but he has 3 new stations spinning. The one that decreased is the DC one, but hopefully that will right itself when he gets there in a few days. |

Add me to those who don't think NCOE is immediately hooky. It has some great moments in it, and I think it is a better hook than BTIKM. But, I keep listening to the demo because I want to love this song, and I keep hoping it will grab me. I can see how if they "up" the tempo in parts it will help. It just doesn't have the hook that a song like Stronger has, where you hear the song and immediately feel it's a hit (at least that is how I felt) I do realize that we haven't heard the finished NCOE, so it could be much more powerful. And, of course, it will have Adam's voice. Well, Adam didn't have a hit when FYE dropped, so I think he will be ok if he doesn't have a radio hit when Trespassing drops. But, he better have A plus promo lined up that week; I'm counting on his management to get this part done. And, please tell me he will be visiting Canada soon! eta--crazyoldgal, I'm still kind of AI competitive, so I'm right there with ya  I think we are going to have to have tough skins, because I think that other song is going to do well. |

No he didn't. But he was coming off of Idol. Big difference.
I am too (unfortunately - cause it makes for angst >:( ). But I don't see "that other song" doing great. I like the beat but everything else is meh. Unless RCA gives it a HUGE push to radio I can't see it doing that well. And they may do that with Joe R at the helm. So yeah - tough skin in that case.

I like the first 40sec and then the fast part start at 1:00min(both sound hooky for me), just rotate those part and it will be great with Adam's voice. ITA need to make the song much faster and with Adam's rocky(ish) tone, it can be very dancey and powerful and may have a chance. |

What's your feeling about Kidd Kraddick commenting "it's very good" when Adam plugged that other song. Was he just talking out his a**? Or do you really think he meant it. I mean, he couldn't even recognize BTIKM when he played a clip the day before. LOL I don't even remember KK saying that so I'm the wrong one to ask. Maybe he was just being polite or maybe he meant it. IDK. Maybe myspenser has an opinion. |

Nickelback is only 28 spins ahead and Flo Rida 54 spins. It is possible for BTIKM to pass them soon, with nice updates for Adam, of course. And The Wanted won't pass Adam soon, at least not this week. Adam is still 139 spins ahead and The Wanted's spin increase has slowed down. |

I have no control over what happens to NAL so I am not going to worry about his new single. Do I think it is radio friendly, "Yes." Do I think it is better than BTIKM, "Hell, no!" But most songs radio plays are not better than BTIKM. All I can do is contnue to support Adam with requests, my $, and by whacking those green arows! |
