I'd like to add one more thing.
Remember when BTIKM was released and we all reacted and felt differently about the song? And then it was concluded that it wasn't ripping off the charts, as expected since it wasn't hittish enough, among other things?
If this radio promo showed anything, it's that BTIKM is a beautiful song, firstly, and secondly, what a true artist Adam is, and of an amazing integrity.
Yes, he wants to top the charts. But you won't catch him dead singing 'moves like jagger' or 'umbrella-ella-ella' type of shit.
If Adele sang BTIKM , it would rip the charts.
There's something off-putting to some people seeing a guy being so emotional and wearing his heart upon his sleeve, I think. I don't know what the real reason is, but as Adam said, there's something polarizing about him. The needle of his compass can show either North or South.
But to me, as W.H. Auden would say:
" He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever, I was wrong."
except that I reserve the right to change it a bit, the 'wrong' is "right" in my world:)))
