At the risk of posting something controversial, I think the biggest roadblock Adam has, for radio, and popular appeal is that he is a white male trying to break into a genre dominated by beautiful, sexy Pop divas. Look at the males in Pop and they are either in groups (LMFAO) or are R&B crossovers. That too

All of those things add up. It is very easy for me to imagine the laughingstock he would be if he DIDN'T have that INCREDIBLE VOICE.

There is a big burn out factor with reality show contestants at this time, that Kelly and Daughtry didn't face many years ago. I believe the majority of Radio stations want to play a song by Adam. They just aren't thrilled with this single. If RCA puts out a more CHR radio single next time, we will see a much better response from radio stations. With WWFM, the big CHR stations jumped all over the song and HAC lagged behind. BTIKM is doing well on HAC, but we are going to have to wait for a new single for US CHR, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, etc. to get on board.

No, he just needs that one, great Pop song to break him out and have everyone (even KISS LA) sit up and take notice. WWFM was a great song and had successful sales, but I wouldn't call it a breakout Pop song. I'm talking something like Tik Tok was for KESHA. Do not bombard me with posts about not wanting Adam to sing KESHA type songs. That's not what I mean. I am talking about a Pop song that hits as fast and hard as a song like Tik Tok. A song that is so good, so unique, so amazeballs every station has to play it so much that even we get sick of hearing it!

If he did not have the VOICE, if he couldn't sing worth shit, then I could see all these perception problems he has making him a laughingstock. I don't think Adam as he is will ever be a laughingstock. But think about it, take away that incredible vocal instrument of his and that incredible personal charm and you have something more along the lines of Sanjaya. Adam's incredible talent and his sweet charming nature are what will win the battle but look at it the other way too, the voice and the sweet nature without all the OTT theatricality and you've got Michael Buble or Josh Groban.

I would be great if we could get the positions of the BTIKM vid in US and Canadian countdown shows posted here too. Anyone been tracking them? If not, I'll dig around.
