oh, oh, oh! I remembered what I wanted to say two posts ago! I wanted to remind everyone that the song "Trespassing" has been my favorite since I first heard the spliced-together version from somewhere (I can't remember where) because it's his anthem! If I WERE of sound mind, I would search for my post and re-post it. Crap, I'm gun-shy now about my grammar and punctuation. I think I might be good at it (grammar and punctuation) if I WERE sober, but hell's bells, I don't post when I'm sober. Anyhoo, (yes, damn it I know that's not a word) I wish I could remember what I said before because it summed up my feelings about the song. I honestly, genuinely, heartfeltedly (crap, squiggly lines under that last word but what the hey, it makes my point!) believe that this song will be his signature song. First on my bucket list now is to see him perform this song live, no matter how far I have to travel or how much I have to spend. Looking for this? (My libations have long since completely metabolized.) Gosh, time for me to weigh in (bantamweight in case anyone's interested and I only think this way on Tuesday nights after watching Biggest Loser--Mark for the win!!!). I have loved Trespassing from the very first spliced-together rendition and now hearing the recorded version (or some of it at least) I love it even more. The clapping and baseline, as Mys*&@^#r noted, make that song and I can't get enough of it. Then there's Cuckoo, and just as Aloha noted, that's the song that sticks in my head. I wake up in the mornings and it's Cuckoo playing in my head. I think the other two songs are great songs too but they take a backseat to Tresspassing and Cuckoo for me because more than anything I want to jam to music. Upbeat songs are my favorites. But when I'm a little more mellow and in the mood for mood music I think my choice would be NCOE over Naked Love. That could change depending on my mood. Tonight's mood is NCOE. One more thing, I keep reading that Trespassing (my personal favorite) might not fit Top40 because it's a novelty song. Damn and double damn, does anyone remember that stupid Fireflies song???? Now that was a novelty song. Please don't characterize Tresspassing the same way!!!

Oh, yeah, and I wanted to add: I am getting a kick out of seeing all the yellow clothing and accessories but I got tell you--if this is not a joke (it is, right?) his audiences are going to look like hives of bees.

The talk about backup singers is stirring up my memory banks. Remember the backup duo on the AI tour? AFL would squeeze between the two of them and try to engage them but they looked totally confused by the interaction.
I wish I could post a gif of the Jill Scott ladies beside one with the AI stick figures but I'm too stoopid to know how to do dat. Wish I knew how to update my avi too. There's a breathtaking picture Seoulmate posted on page 5 I'd love to have (#7 - there's a wisp of hair on his forehead and his eyes are all sparkly). Gawd...

I deliberately use "their" in that situation in the hope that our language will evolve to be gender-neutral when referring to one in a group of mixed gender persons or to a person of unknown gender. (I don't mean when you're talking about drag queens; I mean when you're talking about a nonspecific person.) I know it's considered correct to use a male pronoun when the person could be either male or female, but I think that's sexist. If anything, it would make more sense to use a female pronoun, because women are the majority and femaleness is the default gender--all fetuses start out as female and need a male hormone to turn male. I think "they" has a vagueness to it that is appropriate for instances when the gender is nonspecific. Some may quibble with using a plural pronoun to refer to a single person, but our language has many inconsistencies. We use a plural form of a verb with the single pronoun "you": "You are not going to like this." We use an object form of "-self" when referring to herself, himself, or themselves, but a possessive form when referring to myself, ourselves, or yourself. Also, would you say, "Everybody was at the party, and he all had a good time"? It doesn't seem like that big of a stretch to me to say "Each child should put on their coat" when it serves the purpose of making the language more inclusive. I know in the parenting magazine industry, if a story needs examples referring to a singular child, we rotate the gender. In one article, we'll use "him" and "his" but in the next story, we use "her" and "hers." The main thing is to keep it consistent throughout the piece once you've decided which gender to use. If it's not necessary to pick a gender, we'll use "they" "them" and "him or her" on a mention or two. ETA: It's a little weird though, since we often refer to "your child" in a general sense and it can apply to one or many, depending on the reader. For instance: What do you do when your child throws a tantrum in the grocery store? Remove him or her and tell them this behavior is not acceptable. Whether the child is male or female or more than one is not known and is not relevant. In typing many docs, there is usually a disclaimer in the document (at least in my world) regarding the usage of him, her, she and he so as not to negate the meaning of the text. If I were to mistakenly type my wife is wonderful and he is the love of my life, the meaning would be self-correcting to mean she...hence the disclaimer.

Isn't this a new ring? adam-pictures.com/displayimage.php?album=683&pid=22789#top_display_mediaOh and does anyone, besides me, think that Adam just whacked off the entire trim on a jacket he already had to get this new jacket's look?! Wouldn't be the first time! Remember the long jacket he just did that too (the collar?) That one he wore on his recent EU promo? Glad you brought this up! I was looking at this ring last night and was fascinated by it. Click on the pic to make it larger. There are so many diamonds in each triangle, about 20 or so each. I can't remember if I have seen it before or not, but I'm sure gelly will know. She did mention the one on his other hand that is much larger. I like this one better. Someone found the jacket Adam wore at NNN at a website, but I don't remember the designer. It wasn't Gareth Pugh though. I meant to post when that was brought up that it sure made a difference who had the jacket on since the dude in the pic didn't look nearly as good as Adam did wearing it. I'm not going to go into the grammar lesson too much, but the one thing that really gets to me is when someone says *where is Adam AT?*. Or, any question that is ended in *AT*, as that was one of my moms pet peeves and I can still hear her correcting people on tv when they said it...lol! Here's Adam's RC NNN jacket: shop.hlorenzo.com/product.php?productid=20346&cat=254&page=1&subCatid=&pid=252
