I want to say that I love the full, fully-realized version of NCOE. Remember I'm the one who
reported hearing the song played on Larry Flick's Morning Jolt show on Sirius. The version on the AdamOfficial sound cloud is different. Maybe Larry had an early version. I don't know. Maybe Larry
was playing it to get RCA off the pot and to release a new single. Whatever. it worked.
The new version lets Adam infuse Bruno melody with Adam edginess, and there's nothing better
than pop rock fusion, unless its funkemopop.
Something I did today was send a tweet to @brunomars thanking him for working with @adamlambert, and calling them a "Great Team!" It just seemed the right thing to do.

Re a rave party video.... yes, to me it does sound rather like IIHY. A day or two ago, someone posted a video by a guy Adam just started following. Some black dude with sunglasses standing on a beach singing. I think the song was supposed to feature Usher. Maybe that was the dude on the beach? Anyhoo, it shows people dancing to this hot tune all over the world. Then the music making the ground split and shift. At the end of the video the continents, driven by the music, come together and join as one land mass, and all the rave dancing peeps from different countries come together and hug. Or something like that.
My point is, if this is a current popular video, Adam having a bunch of peeps rave dancing to his music would look derivative. Has to come up with a different theme, IMO.

I wouldn't tweet that free downloads are there for the taking. In the past, I always would post these sorts of problems on AO, including cases where the whole album was up on youtube.
Now shouldn't we send message to DMG?

anjalee- I know Adam said entitlement is not pretty but wouldn't it be awesome if he made 2 vids? A "PG" one for the masses and an "R" rated, male lover theme for the fans? Well, a girl can dream can't she? No, because in this age of technology information is so widespread, and how Adam fans are so good at the internet, it'll get out everywhere. And it'll just cause a media storm, which may or may not be a bad thing. Or have everyone focusing on the gay, and not so much the music. I'm not jumping on you, but I'm curious though. Why do Adam fans want it so bad for Adam to have a love interest in his videos? Is it because a lot of other artists do it? Is it because Adam is gay and we want to see him with someone in his videos? Is it because people think Adam is being treated unfairly by not being able to have one if he wanted too? I don't know, I think I'm just one of those fans that couldn't really care less about Adam having a lover in his videos. I usually think when a lover is in the video, that it's kind of of silly and cheesy, and actually bring the song down, instead of making it better and is usually not done well unless it's some interesting, movie like story being told, ie many of Usher videos. I guess I'm just not into that whole romance thing, :-/ |

This beginning sounds a little different from the soundcloud version.. They have a free mp3 download button for this song on their site! :-/Should this be reported to someone?? [comes in wearing mod hat] As I recall, we had two avenues for reporting unathorized references to Beg for Money. 1) We could tweet to RCAPromo (this is better done by people who have a SMALL amount of Twitter followers) 2) There was a specific monitored area at AO for reporting. I can't remember who/where this was at AO - need help**** If four (4) or so ATOP members with limited followers could please tweet RCApromo, someone figure out the old AO reporting procedure, and then have a group of people contact AO I think we'll have done our best. If you tweet RCApromo, please post here so we no if more posts are needed/ enough posts are done. I only have a small handful of followers so I tweeted @rcapromo. Hope this helps. ??? |

BTW - ame I HAVE seen your requests to reinstall the full voting link info on the front page. Since the requests usually come near the end of the threads, I'm not sure Q3 has (methinks she read the threads up to when she needs to start prepping the next one, then crashes into bed as soon as she's done). Unfortunately my home computer is acting up and I can't easily cut and paste on a phone. But if the lists aren't back by tomorrow, I'll reset them myself. I went ahead and posted in the feedback and moderation thread at AO so maybe the webcrew will see it and pass it on. Finally got to the end of this thread. So much WIN today!!! My heart is so full it almost hurts. Is this really happening? Has the time finally come for Adam to step up to claim his rightful place among the chosen ones in pop music? I want 2012 to be THE YEAR that the world woke up to his awesomeness!!! NCOE is sheer perfection for me. I love the pretty, I love the gritty, so lush and edgy at the same time. I assume Adam does all the vocal layering and I recognize his voice later in the song but I think I hear a voice singing an octave lower after the first 2 lines ("so let's just stay awake until we grow older..."). Do you guys hear it? It is very subtle and sounds like low baritone/bass? Not sure it's Adam. I do hear a voice singing the melody an octave below the lead voice. I am assuming that is Adam, because it is totally in his range. The low register he sings in on the verses of Aftermath actually go lower than this. It just sounds low in comparison to the main line because Adam's voice sounds deceptively high in the melody. Almost all of the melody lies within an octave range, middle C to the C above. That is also a range that most females can sing along to, so it is a smart move to pitch it so. And, the guys can sing it down the octave, like Adam does in the backing vocals. |
