As for my wish list, my biggest wish is that Adam does whatever the heck he wants and has a blast doing it. But if I had to pick something else, I'd love to see him do something with Ke$ha! She has an album coming out next month also. And she and Adam share the same wild-child, crazytrain attitude and they adore each other and I think they'd be a blast together in some kind of collab. She describes her next album as "cock rock" lol whatever that is, and says: "... I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that's just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f--- , so we'll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it." www.mtv.com/news/articles/1663946/kesha-new-album.jhtmlSounds familiar, yeah? ;D With the caveat that my wish is Adam gets whatever his wishes are.... Actually someone ( saga ?) mentioned on twitter that having a female pop cameo on Naked Love for a radio edit version might make it work better for PD's as a single-- someone like Katy, Ke$ha, or Riri (although I realize getting the first and last would be quite a stretch). I think both Katy and Ke$ha would help highlight the fun silliness of the song, and an Adam video with Ke$ha in it too would be OTT and good times IMO. Also her talk/rapping style 'Hot and dangerous If you’re one of us, then roll with us ‘Cause we make the hipsters fall in love And we’ve got hotpants on enough..." would be a good contrast with Adam's voice. Lol I think of Cockrock as what Spinal Tap is parodying. I might need to check out her next album. ;D |

I can't see how we can buy the single and have it count if it becomes a negative sale when you purchase the deluxe album...
Do I buy 2 singles and then the album? But they're going to give me one download of the single with the deluxe album....ACK!
I'm confuzzled.

Core fans matter but there are not enough of us to move the needle on track sales. NCOE needs people to hear it on the radio and online, like it and want to buy it -- lots of people, like a million. |

Since Adam and Katy are both friends and with DMG its not entirely out of the realm of possibility and having her on the MV would also help. Curious about this, in general.
For any artist, say Adele even, who has had a phenomenal amount of album sales and single sales, and reaches say Gold with a single, but then people "complete their album" why does that not affect the certifications? And why do the official sales numbers not change? For instance, I am sure some of the people who bought WWFM eventually "completed" their album. So why do the sales numbers for the single not go down when it is converted to an album sale?
Also, when i-tunes asks, "do you want to comlete this album" if you say no and DL the whole album, then I am assuming the original single sale counts.
The pre-sale is for a month, right? Not just for a week.

Although I think Katy Perry would be better.. she's hotter right now.

I think it'll probably work slightly better with her then the others. Plus it'll be good to court her fanbase, since some of Adam's music have a slightly urban/pop/dance fusion going on. |

Eventually, yes. I agree. Any song needs the radio spins and purchasers. But initially, getting a single into Top 10 or Top 20 makes it visible to those that checkout i-Tunes on Tuesday to see what is popular. It might get a casual fan to listen and buy. Or even a brand new fan to listen and buy. ( I do that) The fans got BTIKM to #19 and #11 Pop. With this free i-Tunes offer, I don't see that happening. And, if as you say, it is not going to result in that many deluxe per-orders then, I am back to what is the point? |
