Just read "elsewhere" that the three songs on the deluxe album are "Runnin", "Take Back", and "Nirvana". I don't know if this is correct, however. Then there will be another for Europe. Do we know of more titles? Shoshanna tweeted yesterday that there will be a fourth bonus song on the deluxe UK version that no one has heard (and is not announced yet.) ETA: And sorry, but I'm repeating the note that ended up at the bottom of the last page re: Sugaree, because I'm frequently missing posts as I skim through... Way behind on Atop, just jumping in to say I posted Sugaree's hospital address in the Member News Thread (just under Daily News) on p.50 in case anyone wants to send her a card. |

I would like to see Trespassing reach the *top 20* - first page - at Amazon best sellers. That will really get some notice. Right now he is at #63 with an up arrow. 8-)

I hope that fans can get NCOE into the top 50 on iTunes initially, and then something like the AI performance that Thursday can push it close to top ten. I don't know if that is possible, but James Durbin got a huge iTunes bump for his single and it started from basically nothing. Basically, I am not going to worry about first week sales because the song seems so CHR friendly. James bump is the first big one any Idol has had all season. His bump is bigger than Daughtry's was! Crazy! Just guessing, but James's bump may have been bigger simply because fewer people were even aware that he had any music out. Most of Daughtry's fans had already bought his album and downloaded his single, so the percentage of increase would have been less than Durbin's even if they both had the same number of people buying after their Idol appearance. I still think Durbin sucks--I can't stand his music or his personality--so maybe I'm just indulging in wishful thinking by saying that the bump he got isn't really that significant. Anything added on to his dismal sales is going to look like a major spike. |

I've missed everything today, except for the news that the Moscow date was changed--man, I am so sad if this messes up travel plans yet again for Atoppers who are (were?) going! I did see even more love for NCOE on twitter today, and a rather hilarious series of tweets from @itsbennyblanco (one of Adam's collaborators who also collabs with Bruno): twitter.com/#!/ItsBennyBlanco He takes some shots at the music "biz" that are pretty funny! Hey - Feel free to scroll down from this rather pale, green person. Stomach has been doing flip-flops all day. While at work, all I could think of is "What do I do? What do I do?" I guess, the best answer right now is to do nothing and just 'wait and see'. Aak! That's not me. I can't sit here. I have a visa to Russia I just received that expires the day after Adam & Queen perform on July 3rd (oh, pleeeeese don't change it again!!) - and having it expire that soon, I've learned, is playing with fire. Because, if anything happens - flight delay, anything - and the visa expires, I won't be able to leave Moscow! So, I've emailed the consulate here in SF - - JanuarySnow, if you have any ideas, I'm all ears! Kanadie, I feel your pain. I more than feel it. I am ruled by my heart, and because of this compass, and the passion I seem to wear on my sleeve, I've met with great joy throughout my life. Learned lessons, too. My fortune is in my family & friends; not money - this trip is financed by my will and my work - therein lies my wealth. I've two tickets stored in the safe at the hotel where we will stay in Moscow - for the June 30 date. Don't even want to talk about the cost. Suffice to say it is a catalyst for making this still happen. I can't bring myself to call the airline yet. It's Delta. Do you think if I mention Adam they'll give me a deal?  See, even my attempt at wry humor is falling flat; feeling beige and dry. A three-week, once in a lifetime trip, was planned around Sonisphere and June 30. Boy, am I learning a thing or two. And, it's not about Adam - it's about me. I don't want these changes to jade me; color my thinking and leave me to test the waters instead of diving in. So, if anyone is interested, I'll keep you posted on how the airline ticket revamp takes place. And, I'll be up at 1AM Pacific Time Tuesday to try for the Hammersmith tickets. I have no idea how my Sonisphere purchase will validate my place in line. Gotta move along. This 'trivial pursuit' is a test of faith towards what changed me, three years ago. Somewhere out there is a man who was told 'No, No, No'. And he said "Fuck you!" This is my "Fuck you" time - I intend to use it wisely, reconfigure and adapt and use my resources and give alot - but remain true to my desire and my goal. It's crazy! But, when I'm there I promise I'll party till they take me away. |

Up thread somewhere mentioned that we'd get a free down of NCOE when pre-order the deluxe on iTunes, is that right? thx. *If you buy from any outlet besides AO, it may drive the CD higher in their chart which may lead to a) more casual browsers seeing it, b) the retailer discounting the price which in turns leads to more sales *Probably the Amazon charts are the one most people pay attention to outside of Itunes. *The Wallmart albums both regular and deluxe come with a signed booklet (whatever that is) If you want a digital download of the CD you can get that from AO, or Amazon or Itunes. *The Itunes chart is the one most people will notice. If you don't want to negate your previous single purchases choose 'NO' when prompted to complete your album on itunes. Or if it won't let you do that, buy NCOE again  (BTIKM numbers prob don't matter at that point). If you want a digital download of NCOE you can get that from itunes or Amazon.* Itunes charts are most important. One other note -- some fans have said that some retailers (CD Wow?) might not count towards certification, so that's another good reason to stick with the more established ones if you aren't sure. I read the thread here the day (and days following) that BTIKM came out. There were a few posters who said they didn't care for it--but not many. It was a joyous day with lots of praise for Adam's song. We thought it would hit. Perhaps the most frequented description was "earworm".
Why do I keep reading the here that BTIKM was a "terrible" choice, that RCA should have known better, it's got no hook etc. It's like I am reading an alternate reality where everyone predicted BTIKM wouldn't do well. Not at all how I remember it. Weird.
