I personally think Adam wanted BTIKM (yes, I know it was really not his choice but I bet he campaigns) because Adam likes a storyline. Even his tour was meant to have a beginning, middle and ending story. BTIKM sets up the light and dark story of this album that was obviously important for him to get across as an intro to the album. This is a good point, Kay. No idea how much Adam had say in the decision, but the idea of the song as a bridge between FYE and Trespassing era is valid, and even more so the use of the video to set up the theme of the album. I'll bet he'll continue to refer to the BTIKM video as he introduces new singles, both light and dark. And.... it really is a gorgeous, artistic, strong video. I hope that it is considered for the VMAs down the road.

Hmm, after reading the last few posts I think I'll put my feelings about the tracks we've heard on record so six months from now we can see how my favorites stack up. Plus I won't be able to say "oh I loved that song" when it smashes or "oh, I hated that song" when it doesn't. #1 favorite song from Adam of all time is....drumroll please....TRESPASSING! I adore that song. I've said it more than once so I guess you can take that to the bank. #2 Before hearing the finished NCOE I would have said Cuckoo was my #2 but NCOE has now taken over that slot. His vocals in NCOE are so good. I can see a grammy nomination for this one. #3 Cuckoo I like this song but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it slip if something better comes along. A finished Chokehold might usurp it. Don't know. Will have to hear the finished songs before deciding. #4 Chokehold could move up depending on final edit. #5 Naked Love. I honestly can't even remember this song and was not interested enough after first listen to search it out again. I know a lot of people like it and after repeated listens I'll probably see the attraction but it didn't grab me at first and I love other songs too much to spend time learning to love this one right now. Other songs we've heard: Outlaws of Love. My jury's still out on this one. I'm hoping the finished product will interest me more than the live version did. I remember liking the melody and the lyrics but not enough to replay the version we had. Underneath. How did we hear this one? Was it a demo? Whatever it was I cannot wait to hear the finished song. I think I'll love this song. I actually avoid heart-wrenching ballads but this one grabbed me from the moment I heard it and I can't even remember how I heard it. All I know is it resonated and I cannot wait to get my grubby little burrito mitts on it.

this is going to sound so random and I'm sorry but it's driving me insane. does anyone know where the video is of Adam in high school were he's with three other students and they are talking about school or getting involved or something like that? I'm terrible at finding things but I know I've seen this video before. Anyone who can help I'd appreciate it. Thanks. This one? god thats hilarious! i pride myself at being able to recognise faces but Adam has reinvented himself so much i think i wouldnt have

OHHH I know which video it is I'm looking for.....the one where he says he'll be a happy happy man if he can work in theater for the rest of his life? ninja's?

There are no guarantees, even for NCOE. We have to keep in mind that there are 10-20 singles sent to radio every week, some from established Pop artists. These singles also come from good writers with great production behind them and some with big name collabs. Many of these artists are also doing the big radio shows that Adam is doing in the future. It really is a big guessing game! An artists needs a catchy song, good timing, tons of money and deals behind the single and a great deal of outright luck! Labels don't always get it right, even for big time artists like Bruno, Rihanna or Kesha. Even when they do get it right, there can still be other factors in whether a song makes it to the top of the charts or not. It's not anywhere close to an exact science! True. And, unfortunately, Adam has to fight more than just having a catchy song, the right timing, money, and deals behind a song. >:(

Yes dearest nica I am going to Moscow as well. Vecadam has already got the concert tickets and can also speak some Russian as well, which will be a huge bonus for us mono language challenged Kiwis It would be such a beautiful thing if I could share yet another AFL journey with you as well, but this time in your original homeland. It makes me go all teary eyed thinking about how wonderful that would be. I wish with all my heart (and more) that you could be there with us dear friend But at least we have the incredible memories of that first journey I made to be with you all. No one can take that EPIC away from us. Hey, I'm planning to get an iPad for the trip. Maybe I can skype you from Red Square and we could walk around it (sorta) together

I'm not really an emotional ballad type either, but I think this one is going to be massive and moving!

Have anyone ever went to one of these Jimmy Kimmel outdoor concerts before? Do anyone know how much the venue hold? Since it'll be a studio audience, maybe a few hundred?
