There is a big difference between a fan really liking a song and the song being great for radio. I LOVE Trespassing -- it is pure Adam -- but NCOE is the song that fits Pop Radio. Even Adam tweeted it was picked because it was the track that had the most interest from radio. There are some public posts back in December that expressed skepticism about the song because it is slow tempo (82.5 BPM) and does not have a classic pop structure or a hook. Just my opinion -- BTIKM is a lovely track and but not appropriate for US Pop radio. That does not mean that I do not like the track, it means that I do not think it was a good choice as a radio single -- something I posted months ago. ETA: Of course the songs I love would make terrible choices for radio singles -- my favs are mostly FYE bonus tracks and one was never even released in the US -- CLYG. I didn't direct this at you specifically. And it isn't really about people saying whether they liked BTIKM or not. It's just that back then most people thought it would be a hit. Yes, some did express concern with it being too slow tempo for the UK and a few didn't care for it but I don't recall people saying they thought it was a poor choice for a single. Now it feels like everyone has 20/20 hindsight. Maybe I am wrong, and it doesn't really matter. Just feeling deja vu and hoping for a different outcome this time. Just keep in mind that when a person claims they are less than enamoured with a particular song or that they do not think it has much 'hit potential' they are quickly jumped on, called poor fans, and generally dissed as lacking in taste. When this happens, these people feel truly silenced and keep their counsel. If those are the 'rules' of a forum and a fandom, that is fine...but do not act as if these unspoken rules did not exist...and then 'wonder' where all these naysayers were earlier... Suffice to say that all of us here fully believe in the talent and potential of Adam F##### Lambert....he is a truly incredible artist and person....we adore him and support him. That is the important thing.

Thank you. Not enough but enough if you know what I mean. Some interviewer commented that this song made her cry. Whetted my appetite even more. ETA: Crap. Kanadie wrote a long narrow box of nothing! Must be his fault 'cause we all know beefy wine-drenched burritos make no mistakes.

I guess we will have to update Atopians going to the Moscow concert because some might have to change their plans because of the Sonisphere debacle! :(

Have anyone ever went to one of these Jimmy Kimmel outdoor concerts before? Do anyone know how much the venue hold? Since it'll be a studio audience, maybe a few hundred? Jimmy Kimmel live example

Underneath. How did we hear this one? Was it a demo? Whatever it was I cannot wait to hear the finished song. I think I'll love this song. I actually avoid heart-wrenching ballads but this one grabbed me from the moment I heard it and I can't even remember how I heard it. All I know is it resonated and I cannot wait to get my grubby little burrito mitts on it. Here ya go before they take it down again! I'm not really an emotional ballad type either, but I think this one is going to be massive and moving! THanks Kanadie! I was just looking for this!!

That is the important thing. Some people are sensitive to negativity (in assessments of songs) and others are not. I dont think people will ever agree on that _ whether one should vocalise negativity or not. I agree that intentions matter the most but so do habits and skills. But we aren't going to agree on what is helpful and creative, and what is destructive.
