I didn't direct this at you specifically. And it isn't really about people saying whether they liked BTIKM or not. It's just that back then most people thought it would be a hit. Yes, some did express concern with it being too slow tempo for the UK and a few didn't care for it but I don't recall people saying they thought it was a poor choice for a single. Now it feels like everyone has 20/20 hindsight. Maybe I am wrong, and it doesn't really matter. Just feeling deja vu and hoping for a different outcome this time. Just keep in mind that when a person claims they are less than enamoured with a particular song or that they do not think it has much 'hit potential' they are quickly jumped on, called poor fans, and generally dissed as lacking in taste. When this happens, these people feel truly silenced and keep their counsel. If those are the 'rules' of a forum and a fandom, that is fine...but do not act as if these unspoken rules did not exist...and then 'wonder' where all these naysayers were earlier... Suffice to say that all of us here fully believe in the talent and potential of Adam F##### Lambert....he is a truly incredible artist and person....we adore him and support him. That is the important thing. That's probably true. Plus, we WANT TO BELIEVE it is the greatest song EVAH! I still think BTIKM was a good song, with superb vocals and it "looked good on paper". I can see why RCA chose it to be the first single. There were a couple of things about BTIKM that worried me a little from the first, but I didn't want to state them because FOOs at other places grab hold of those statements and echo them at other very popular blogs, IYKWIM. I also didn't really want to put negative energy out there. Also, I wondered if I was just being silly and worrying too much. The bottom line is- we are stans, it's in our nature to hope for the very best!

Hmm, after reading the last few posts I think I'll put my feelings about the tracks we've heard on record so six months from now we can see how my favorites stack up. Plus I won't be able to say "oh I loved that song" when it smashes or "oh, I hated that song" when it doesn't. #1 favorite song from Adam of all time is....drumroll please....TRESPASSING! I adore that song. I've said it more than once so I guess you can take that to the bank. #2 Before hearing the finished NCOE I would have said Cuckoo was my #2 but NCOE has now taken over that slot. His vocals in NCOE are so good. I can see a grammy nomination for this one. #3 Cuckoo I like this song but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it slip if something better comes along. A finished Chokehold might usurp it. Don't know. Will have to hear the finished songs before deciding. #4 Chokehold could move up depending on final edit. #5 Naked Love. I honestly can't even remember this song and was not interested enough after first listen to search it out again. I know a lot of people like it and after repeated listens I'll probably see the attraction but it didn't grab me at first and I love other songs too much to spend time learning to love this one right now. Other songs we've heard: Outlaws of Love. My jury's still out on this one. I'm hoping the finished product will interest me more than the live version did. I remember liking the melody and the lyrics but not enough to replay the version we had. Underneath. How did we hear this one? Was it a demo? Whatever it was I cannot wait to hear the finished song. I think I'll love this song. I actually avoid heart-wrenching ballads but this one grabbed me from the moment I heard it and I can't even remember how I heard it. All I know is it resonated and I cannot wait to get my grubby little burrito mitts on it. I completely get what u are saying about Naked Love. I put the clips on when I exercise. I didnt think much of it when the snippets first came out. I'm a convert now. This one and trespassing are the two songs that get me going. There is something very comfortable and easy about it - more so than Cuckoo. Sounds strange, but it is the best description I have.

Kanadie, In March my boss's daughter was getting married in Agra India. Then they went to Jaipur and New Delhi. I helped him go through HELL with updating passports, cabs, guides, planes, and trains, reservations (their balconies overlooked the Taj Mahal), challenges you are going through and WHEW when he got back from his trip, he said it was a trip he will "NEVER" forget. As your friends are saying here, I hope you will step back, breathe and have a glass of wine. I hope you can work it out. If I had just won that $364M lottery a few weeks ago. Damnit. I would go with you.

Have anyone ever went to one of these Jimmy Kimmel outdoor concerts before? Do anyone know how much the venue hold? Since it'll be a studio audience, maybe a few hundred? Jimmy Kimmel live example Thanks again Kanadie. So it looks like a few hundred. Alright that's good. Wow I didn't know that Green Day sang that song, lol.

I'm not really an emotional ballad type either, but I think this one is going to be massive and moving! Y'all know that is not Adam singing, right?

I would like to thank everyone for the kind words of encouragement today over the whole Queen debacle. I did not mean to bring the thread down, or come off being selfish or one sided for my needs, as I know there are many of us in the same boat. I am in a much better state of mind this evening, and will readdress it on Monday with a clear head. If anyone hears of any details on the Kiev show, I would be interested into looking into tickets for it, as that and Moscow would make attempting more changes worthwhile. Thanks Much!
