Glad all the ATOP folks are safe! What an unbelievable disaster for Japan. :(
Still basking in all the beautiful pics from last night. I'm so proud of his performance!

Thank you for this stream. Daughter visiting Maui sent text: "Evacuated condo because of tsunami warning. Am on safe ground. Just tired...trying to sleep in car." Thanks everyone for giving links to reviews of Adam and AI last night. I so enjoy reading positive words about our Idol!!

Some of us in the fandom are overtly critical of Adam when it comes to performances. Finished skimming the 87 page thread of yesterday and I guess we've become spoiled by the high quality performances that we usually get; so much so that any alteration that we don't perceive as "flawless" we downgrade. I have to say that I'm one of the said critical fans. After listening to countless GN AM's the raspiness of his voice just threw me. I found myself in a state of cognitive dissonance. As a BSC fan I "suppose" I like it and yet... Anyways I just wanted to express my views before going off to bed. Wish the people affected by the earthquake/tsunami well. Aaaaa but to me it was MEANT TO BE RASPY. IT WAS MEANT TO BE MORE ROCK. The GNT performances were better for the tour and the BSC fans but NOT for this performance. The way that he goes up and down the octaves on the GNT performances for me isnt what the idol people will understand and also i believe that he wanted to show more emotion, more passion, not showcase only the voice, which i think he did BRILLIANTLY. JMHO I know NOTHING about music and notes. Just what and how i feel music. Gotta be quick, am at work, gelly, I agree with you completely, you've nailed it! I too think he was going for a rock sound, not only with his voice but with the whole presentation ( the band, the arrangement etc). It was beautiful, although ( and I stand by that) by no means as technically perfect as we've become accustumed to-not that it matters much, really. It was really powerful and all kinds of awesome. I ended up listening to it until almost 5 AM my time, so I'm kind of a zombie today:-) I really have to go now, will catch up later in the evening, love to all, and I hope everyone affected by the quake or tsunami is safe and well # hugs &

zinnia congratulations for the new family members. Thanks - unfortunately not mine though :D. But I'll be part of their lives through Tommy, have made great many friends of those who have his offspring. His kids excel in quality, not quantity. And I got the first pics too <3, and a vid <3. They are doing great <3. Sorry about this very OT subject :D, folks. Work was hell today but i remember i wanted to say Zinnia that i ALWAYS love to listen to parts of your RL. From all of you

Thanks for this, Wal. My sister lives on the BC Sunshine Coast and doesn't listen to the news. I woke her up real early and told her about this.
