BreakingNews Breaking News 6.1-magnitude earthquake strikes Tonga -USGS 1.usa.gov/gykqvDThe Ring of Fire is working to relieve all that tension where the tectonic plates collide and the core spews its hot molten lava. It's probably Kamchatka, Alaska or Canada next. Possibly the San Andreas fault may shift.

Regarding last night's "nitpicking" -- I think it's in our nature as invested fans to analyze every tiny detail of a performance. Some of us need to know he did "ok" before we can sit back and enjoy the ride, especially when he is on a huge platform like Idol. Just because we notice a slight imperfection doesn't make us critical or love him any less. Alison's point kinda resonates with me and the performance has since grown on me so all's well I guess ;D. Oh and to add musiciflife's critique I've brought over the DDD techies analyses. He did a similar run when he performed it live with Alisan Porter, a much better performance overall though the harmonies got annoying pretty fast. Good to see you by the way :tiphat: [/quote] I am thankful some thought to bring over the feedback from DDD, I do not go there to read their opinions very often because they speak a different language than I do. They are leaps ahead of me regarding everything when it comes to vocals. I really appreciate reading anything a knowledgeable vocal expert has to say. Thank you again for sharing!!!!!! I loved the performance and the time on camera afterwards. I know I am easy, but, "I am not FREE" as the old saying goes. Truly, I believe lastnight as a win for Adam. Mika, if you are around..........I have watched the youTube videos of lastnight probably a dozen times today : Tommy's hair is definitely a work of art and just begging for a good, rub your fingers through my hair moment. 8-) Hair and make-up for all four of them, spot on, it this is you Sutan, you did good!

I don't mean to make light of this earthquake situation but...Adam sings on Idol and then we get a giant quake in a region of the earth known as the "ring of fire"??? Not saying he is responsible but not saying he is not not responsbile either. Just sayin' Man, what is happening to the world? With every disaster I start to believe that 2012 shit even more. Ugh, so bad. God bless those people in Japan. I know I sure as hell couldn't live in a place where the earth could rock so violently beneath me without warning. In unrelated, or possibly related news, Adam looked AMAZING last night and sounded wonderful. If this is the direction lookwise he is going in for album 2 then woohoo! He looks classically handsome and won't "freak" people out as much, which sadly is essential to getting more fans. Skin looks great, the makeup wasn't caked on, the hair was FAAAB. Plus he looked so happy and rested. Just great all around. I hope he raised a nice amount for the Trevor project and I'm sure all the great press doesn't hurt. =) Just read your Idol recap! www.thehomeplanet.org/?p=65083#more-65083So much Adam goodness! ;D "I am not gonna deny that I had hoped he was going to sing this with a chorus of twinks on trampolines behind him or somehow create another storm of awesome onstage, but whatever." Chunky - brought my fave part over here but the whole thing was hilarious! My sticky fingers even lifted one two of your smilies

Okay, I'm way, way back in the thread speed reading to catch up. but I just wanted to say, musiclife, YOU CRACK ME UP!! (plus, right on with your analysis!) Something else I noticed and wanted to comment on was Steven's reaction. I agree with those who said Steven may not have been all there last night. But watching it again, I really looked at his face & noticed after he finished clapping he almost seemed to be studying Adam. None of us are in his head so we can't know what he was thinking, but I don't think it was a slight to Adam. He may have been in awe & taking Adam's performance in, or willing the tightening in his pants to stop, or trying to figure out what color to buy his next pirate blouse in. Plus this was his first time hearing Adam live, so even if he didn't love the song, that's ok. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D back to reading now. I was okay with all the reasoning until he gave Diddy a standing ovation. None of my business and don't know what's in his head either but not much if he can't get enthusiasm up for Adam but a standing ovation for Diddy. The girl was good but Diddy is a pompous ass.

[grins] 'Tho this is pretty good too: GawkerTV: An Open Letter to Adam Lamberttv.gawker.com/#!5781146/an-open-letter-to-adam-lambert You beat me to it, Hoppers!! Twitter is the gift that keeps on giving right now. I also like this one: Michelle Duggar this is why i have a td [TweetDeck] search. RT lorianngriffin: I just met Annette, a 71 year old WalMart employee who gave up Adam Lambert for Lent. Alrighty then. I tweeted that I admire Annette's resolve because there's not a chance in hell I'd give up Adam for Lent. Our grandmother already suggested that to my sister. She said she'd give up her cell phone before she gave up Adam. Grandma thinks she's crazy. I'll inherit all the money because I do all my stanning in secret. Sounds like an episode of Gossip Girls doesn't it?
