Wal - this article is a great find! It seems to really articulate the issues Adam faces in trying to be a #1 POP artist, he's just too good for POP! Love it, thanks for posting, and everyone, this is a MUST READ article! eta: just saw koshka's comment, different strokes for different folks! This article to me points out the many concerns by fans that Adam is just too talented to be singing pop music, his voice is just so much better. Definitely different strokes for me, I find it extremely frustrating when people think they know better than Adam what the right genre is for him. I think this so-called "review" is chock full of complete fallacies and signals someone who simply wants Adam to do what they want, rather than what he wants.

kqvt.com/adam-lambert-cover-instinct-gay-fanbase/Adam Lambert Covers Instinct, Ponders Gay Fanbas Adam Lambert covers Instinct, looking as faboo as ever. He really does have a great head o’ hair and whoever taught him how to line his eyes in sooty black kohl had mad skills. more A little off topic, but why can't they just acknowledge that he looks gorgeous without grudgingly saying he looks "fab" or "glam" and attributing it to hair and makeup regardless of how much or how little make up he has on?

There was an interesting tweet from a guy yesterday: "Adam Lambert Covers Instinct Magazine, Talks Trespassing", with a link to the article. What made the tweet interesting was the guy it was from: DJ Blakout, who, in his words, is "widely popular American hip hop & house DJ...and CEO of Blakout Music". I checked out his website, and he is more than a DJ. He produces music, including "Blow Your Mind" and "Roman Holiday" on Nicki Minaj' new album. Hip Hop artists are notoriously homophobic, even if many are "on the down low". So I'm not sure what the significance of the tweet was except to show that Adam is being looked at by guys on the hip hop scene. Maybe someday he will even get played on the rhythmic-leaning stations, and get featured on a record with Lil Wayne. Good pts -but just to clarify - the guy who RT'd appears to be an aspiring artist - not DJ BlackOut the well-known producer who worked w/N. Minaj and others.

I agree, this is just some random person who has decided she wants Adam to be a "rawk god" and wants him to do what she wants him to do. These types of people just make me roll my eyes! I dismissed the whole post when I read this: First of all, 2012 wasn't a Blockbuster. Secondly, Adam's career would be DOA if he did a bunch of songs like Time For Miracles! TFM as a standard for what type of music Adam should be singing? That right there tells me all I need to know about this random person who runs some random blog site. ETA:Oh, and this: Or Ryan could give Adam another Sleepwalker. Perhaps Ryan could give him an Already Gone or one of those clunkers he wrote for David Cook! : Ugh...this person has no idea what they are talking about! Go let them stan James Durbin! He needs all the fans he can get!

Exactly. Just. plain GORGIOUS. That's all. It's like they need to use 'certain' words (forgive me) because he's gay. So what!?! Honestly, that has nothing to do with his looks, lol!

It also irks me that this is the mindset that all pop music is considered subpar to rock. Sorry, not to me. IMO Pop That Lock, Kickin In (just two examples) are vastly superior songs to TFM (even if Adam does sing the hell out of it).

Nile Rodgers @nilerodgers Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Feeling So Shady - D's blog post on my blog www.nilerodgers.com/blogs/planet-c-in-english/1646-feeling-so-shadyApril 25, 2012 - Update by: IAmMisterD Yesterday, I hacked Nile's blog in the middle of the day to share with everyone the incredible activity surrounding "Shady" and video footage from his session with Adam Lambert. After he saw it, we had a great laugh and thought it'd be great to keep it up for a whole day. We added some more YouTube clips to spice it up some, too. Enjoy!

I'm with Koshka SusieFierce and lifetraveler about this article. So many wrong things about this article. She's projecting her own desires to Adam. What I continue to find interesting is that most people seem to feel the need to comment/criticize or over-the-top praise Adam. Yes, he is both a hoopla and click magnet, but he continues to be polarizing. Adam is by his own definition not bland or mainstream;even trying to make it big in the fickle world of pop, he produces a genre-bending, high quality album. It seems that many people are so uncomfortable with a man that does not fit familiar labels, and yet if Adam did, we would hear things like, he's very like X, but with a better voice, or he is a watered down Y, or he is like X meets Y--which we already do read and hear. And we all know that if he were to meet each of the critics' needs once, the next time he would be labelled as derivative or a one-trick "every song sounds the same" pony. I rejoice every day that Adam is Adam, in all of his complexity.
