I finally have an Adam story! Last weekend I went to a tourist town to shop for some clothes for burning man. (Tombstone, gun fight at OK corral and all that) There was an older man busking and I asked him to play "Whiskey River", only country song I could think of. It seemed to please him that I asked for an old song and we struck up a conversation. He was disgruntled at current country music, Taylor Swift anyone, I agreed and mentioned on the pop scene that currently only Adele and Adam could really sang. He really came alive at the mention of Adam and even knew a couple of songs. Who would of thought that an ole Texas country boy who used to play in Texas honky-tonks would know ADAM! Ok, having lived in Arizona and visited Tombstone many times, I have to laugh at this story. This place is western. It is old western. It's too western to even be country. It's small and undiverse and isolated. If you can find an Adam fan playing piano in a kitschy saloon in Tombstone, then WE ARE EVERYWHERE!! The power of Adam's talent HeWhoCannot ameds all differences. That is why there are so many of us here that like different styles of music, are of all different generations and cultures. His talent is universal. *And I would like to add a footnote as one put in the category of "it's all about the voice". It's the whole package. The voice, the performance, the message, and the man. The looks don't hurt but they come last. I'd be here if Adam played anything. I'd even be a lifetime fan if he stopped singing altogether. I am captured! But it's the fact that his voice is so far superior than anything else that draws you in to the magic. ETA in fact, just like Adam tells us to not be him, be ourselves--I don't want him to sing my favorite kind of music. I want him to sing his. Pure Adam. That's all I want. |

You know that pic of Adam walking on water? One of my all time favorites. So, I searched the net to find the highest resolution and ordered a poster made from Walmart. 20x30. Walmart warned me that the resolution was too low, but I told the computer I wanted it anyway. Well, it came today in the mail, and it is stunning. And only $20 for printing and shipping. Great price. If anyone is contemplating doing the same, I say "go for it." But, the cheap poster frame I was able to find does not do it justice. It really needs a quality mat and a solid frame. So, am I gonna fork over $100 or more to frame it like it should be framed? Hmmmm. Me thinks that resistance is futile. I'll probably capitulate and take it to a custom frame shop. Damn! This rabbit hole is deep. , go to PictureFrames.com. Great selection of custom frames and mats and though not cheap, much cheaper than a framing store. I have used them many times for Adam stuff! |

Question for anyone who might know.. I requested NCOE on Mix102.9's Top 5@five, but when I went back to also request BTIKM, both songs were gone from the list. They were both listed before I requested. What's happening? ???
Is there a way to request 2 at one time for future reference?
ETA totally wacky, but I tried one more time, and now BTIKM is listed.. I swear it wasn't there the 3 other times I checked.. ???
