mindchnger @mindchnger \o/ RT caridan1: 105.9 Chicago just spun ncoe! ??? I thought this was a news station now? Anyone know? But yay!?!? ;D On the Instinct quote going around, It's a little ironic that out of all the new music and interviews Adam has given with other interesting quotes about the LBGT community ect, this is the one that has some legs. It sort of proves Adam's point in a way, at least about gay media ( although the magazines have done some great interviews with him, I'm thinking more the blogs). It could be seen as a catty choice to choose this quote to run with above many alternatives. I don't know if I'm making sense. :-/

Question for anyone who might know.. I requested NCOE on Mix102.9's Top 5@five, but when I went back to also request BTIKM, both songs were gone from the list. They were both listed before I requested. What's happening? ??? Is there a way to request 2 at one time for future reference? ETA totally wacky, but I tried one more time, and now BTIKM is listed.. I swear it wasn't there the 3 other times I checked.. ??? I went and found (and requested) both. I think it's OK.

He was being interviewed by a gay magazine...He tends to address gay issues when he speaks to gay media. I'm sure they ask questions to steer the interview towards the subject...It does seem only normal. You'll notice he talked "fashion" in Fault..... I'm not surprised at all. edit/ Haha! Is that impersonator a girl? Kinda looks like it. yeah i get it is a gay magazine and he had a question to answer, duh. but i think he is stirring the pot when he used the term catty. look how it is being picked up by other news sources. and we all know how things can be twisted. Adam has mentioned diversity in the past so he MUST know there should exist no standard to what the "community" accepts or resists. How specifically does he consider himself being resisted? he has been on the cover of OUT and advocate and on their list of influentials, interviewed in multiple publications and media outlets. I think he has had great support. ok there were some remarks/criticism along the way, but that is typical with any celeb. What are we looking for here? I think Adam means more gay fans supporting him and hopefully his music, like they do for his female counterparts. Accepting him as one of their own and accepting him for who he is. It sure hasn't been easy as a gay man, to reach the heights that he has reached and more encouragement from some in the gay community would be awesome. He has to battle a lot of bigotry from many in the straight community, why does he have to take bigotry from other gay men?? I'm so glad Adam told them off, the gay community needs to support each other, not condemn each other. Life is hard enough& there is power in unity. There is a civil rights movement going on, so whether someone likes or dislikes Adam's singing, has nothing to do with supporting him as a human being.Sticking together will get them more rights. It certainly beats tearing each other down with, yes Catty remarks.Again it's that self hate thing showing it's ugly head. If one puts Adam down and acts like a bigoted straight person will that make them more acceptable to the straight community? I think not.Perez is a perfect example of this type of put you down to build myself up behavior. To add: why is it that a straight entertainer singing about gay rights is more valuable and more appreciated with many gay men, than a gay person ,who actually knows how it feels to be gay in this here America?Doesn't make sense to me and apparently it doesn't make sense to Adam either.

I'm with Koshka SusieFierce and lifetraveler about this article. So many wrong things about this article. She's projecting her own desires to Adam. What I continue to find interesting is that most people seem to feel the need to comment/criticize or over-the-top praise Adam. Yes, he is both a hoopla and click magnet, but he continues to be polarizing. Adam is by his own definition not bland or mainstream;even trying to make it big in the fickle world of pop, he produces a genre-bending, high quality album. It seems that many people are so uncomfortable with a man that does not fit familiar labels, and yet if Adam did, we would hear things like, he's very like X, but with a better voice, or he is a watered down Y, or he is like X meets Y--which we already do read and hear. And we all know that if he were to meet each of the critics' needs once, the next time he would be labelled as derivative or a one-trick "every song sounds the same" pony. I rejoice every day that Adam is Adam, in all of his complexity. I got here late and just got done reading the thread. Ljsmack I agree with what you said in your post. I especially love the part I put in red. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if Adam's music doesn't appeal to someone then they have a right to voice that opinion. If someone would like to hear Adam sing a certain genre of music I can understand that also. I have my favorite, too. I think when a reviewer starts projecting their wishes on Adam that's when I have a little problem with them. But it's the people who post comments using hurtful words ( I won't even repeat some of them) when speaking of Adam then crawl back in their pathetic holes that I find so disgusting. And for me when I go to sites where the comments are attacking Adam the person that doesn't fit into their 'packaged' little minds and ignore his incredible talent and voice....this is how I aways feel: I try not to go to these places very often but I do go once in a while to see if the hate filled posts have become less prevalent. I've finally started to just shrug my shoulders and say 'who gives a f*uck what you think' and move on! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETART!!!

I am always surprised when people say "Adam was Rock on Idol" because in reality, he only sang 4 rock songs while he was on. Everything else was Pop. Maybe the rock (WLL) just made such a big impression? Idk. Even his audition was first Michael Jackson. They just didn't show that one.

Cassie, go to PictureFrames.com. Great selection of custom frames and mats and though not cheap, much cheaper than a framing store. I have used them many times for Adam stuff! I've been looking for this pic this morning and just can't find it. Anyone??
