ETA: Estimate for Carrie at HDD based on first day sales is 275-295 Oh Carrie, Smarrie. Good for her, maybe she will go away now. >:( I had to lol at her new "rock country" image. Blah, she has a hundredth of the stage presence and connection with songs that Adam has. Compared to Adam Carrie has exactly ZERO stage presence...she is COLD, nothing is projected...- from my limited experience of seeing her on AI and award shows... but this is country land...obviously there is something appealing to the masses ... Barbie-ish look? .

BTW sales are pretty dismal for a lot of the Idols. Anyone remember where Daughtry's single "Crawling Back to You" peaked on HAC? Thought is had done a lot better than BTIKM but look at the sales. Daughtry, Crawling Back to You (2,000, 243,000) only 120k more than BTIKM and song was available before his album came out. Yeah, and that song SUCKED! Did you ever hear him try to sing it live? It was painful when he performed it on Idol! BB will show them all how it is done on May 17th! I'm predicting 100K in sales after Adam brings his NCOE futuristic drone-filled explosion to the AI stage!

Hi guys- I have a few questions about requesting on the MediaBase Forms:
1) Does it matter whether or not you fill out all of the demographics info? They only require Name, but I usually fill out my zip code and name and sometimes my email address. I've added my real age (40) in the past...don't know if that's stored somewhere so I don't think I can fudge it now!
2) Is it better to add few songs in addtion to Adam? Sometimes I add addtional songs I like.

Hmm....I Read some of you attributing Adam radio play to Idol stigma ie a reality show, can any one of you with this line of thought tell me why radio is Playing a Canadian Idol's song - 'call me maybe', Chris René from US Xfactor, and the 1direction guys from UK XFactor that did not even win their season? Radio is all over d those boys and have stopped giving Bieber's song good updates even thou his song debuted higher than the boys and selling better on iTunes. US radio is so full of stupid politics which the Bieber/1 Direction is presently proving.
I was also reading on my twitter feed yesterday that some PDs are waiting to see what A's song does on the chart before adding it. How come when you look at the current Pop chart, there re many songs charting even in the 20s with hardly any iTunes prescence. It makes me wonder if this rule is for artists they re looking for excuses not to play. Does anyone understand more than me, becos I am confused with this rule right now since I honestly wouldn't know how a song would sell without AirPlay on the radio and other promotion.
And yes, I do know most European countries look up to bigger markets like the US and UK to make their playlists. The artists that broke without help from the US are UK artists or they already broke in the UK. A

My theory on RCA saying he has sold just under two million worldwide is that when you take his single sales and convert to "track equivalent albums", which the labels are taking in to account more and more, he really probably is close to two million worldwide.
AS OF 1/29/2011 WORLDWIDE SALES 4.2MIL. in Single tracks and 1.2MIL
So convert singles 4,200,000 divide by 10 for track equivalent albums = 420,000 Add album sales 1,200,000 = 1,620,000 So as of 15 months ago that was 1.6 million
The footnote on that page referenced above indicates Adam's total is from 2/28/2012 and reports US only track sales at 4.556. Near as I can figure his US only singles total at the end of January 2011 was around 3.5 million so about 1 million more US singles for and additional 100,000 track equivalent albums giving us a best guess to date of about 1.7 million minimum which the would have no problem stating as close to 2 million and remember this is not including the worldwide single sales from the last 15 months.
