Guys, he will do a morning show album drop week. I think that is pretty much a lock. It is only a matter of which show he will do (I am hoping for GMA because I think it would generate a lot of buzz)
SNL is a VERY tough get. I don't expect him to be invited on SNL until he has a big radio hit this era. And being off Idol does not help with this type of booking. At all. If Adam's management could pull this one off I would be entirely impressed.
I also think he will do the Regis and Kelly thing, and probably something primetime (Leno, maybe?) The View probably won't happen until Fall (although I would be thrilled if he got on in May).

I'm happy that NCOE seems to be slowly but steadily building spins on radio, tons of thanks to all who are requesting and helping with that. It's now #48 on the US Hot AC chart and #48 on the Canada Hot AC chart too (up from #88 last week!) so its daily progress is visible in these formats now. Also new, and big, stations are dipping their toe in the water on both US and Canada Top 40, and stations that scorned BTIKM like WSJT Hot AC in Tampa Florida have enthusiastically jumped into spinning. Go song!  so pleased i cant tell you. |

Which song would/should the producers want prior to the big announcement of who is cut that night? Sheesh they have the exact words Seacrest could user to make an analogy ...are they smart enough to recognize it!?!
(it's so hard to think this could fade away, but what goes up must come down, why can't we just live with no consequence?)

I know a lot of people love Shoshanna now that she caters to fans and gives hints and announcements of upcoming stuff, and wish that DMG would provide the same handholding for fans in the US, but I think it would be a big mistake to assume that just because they don't that they aren't working their asses off for Adam.
While of course it would be nice to have a US Shoshanna, frankly I would rather they focus on Adam and not the fans. Heck, he's got us, we don't need to be sold.
One area where DMG has a really good reputation is their relationship to print mags. I think the numerous namechecks and features in Rolling Stone in the lead up to this era (after they basically ignored him during his first era despite a best selling cover issue), that recent day-in-the-life in EW (after they've been positively bitchy about Adam since the AMA's), and even that People mag tot pic are some of the things they've helped Adam get. And I'll bet there's more coming.

Like I said, SNL has done some big names this year, but also in last few months: LDR (hardly a household name before that performance), Bon Iver, The Shins, Karmin and Sleigh Bells (who?). Also Robyn who, like Bon Iver is known and appreciated in her niche but neither are major names to the general population. Cook did it around the same time last year with far less media buzz than Adam. I agree about morning show – I just wish they'd announce it and "The View" doesn't go on hiatus for whole summer. They usually take entire month of August off. |

I thought Cook only did SNL not long after his Idol win, during the time when he was flying high because his coronation song was used as the theme for the Olympics, which was pretty huge. All those acts you namechecked may not be big, but they have been indie and critical darlings. There's a certain cachet to their bookings that as much as I adore Adam, he just doesn't have right now. |

The new Photobucket editing really threw me for a loop. Most of the stuff I use is in the "Express Editor". (The little blue sign at the bottom of the pic says "Switch to Advance Editor" because it's already in "Express Editor".) Most of the stuff I use in "Express Editor" pops up when you click "Adjustment". And that's about all I know. ;D  |

? to our current Idol watchers: does anyone perform two songs on the results show? Would it be possible to have Adam go first AND last and have Ms. Presley in the "middle"? BTW - do we know if they've met before? ... she is sort of a link to the two largest icons - her dad and her ex "husband"... Note: I guess i misunderstood the Wallgreens announcement.. I thought he was performing .. if it is just the place to get tickets for the 5/18 radio concert- then I stand corrected and a much happier person...  |
