You're right. TV doesn't matter that much unless it is a huge show like Idol. And, unfortunately, for David, his Idol performance last year was not good! I have no problem with RCA and DMG concentrating on radio. It is the right thing to do. David was never in the public eye like Adam is .. Adam is a world wide star with all kinds of coverage, even if he's just going to park his car. David doesn't seem to be loved by the press like Adam and he doesn't have a bigger than life type of aura..so I think it was" out of sight out of mind" I really like his voice and feel bad that he's not betting more recognition.

I think there will be a morning show the week he is on the east coast for the radio shows. I would say, either the 21st, 23rd or 24th. Those are his open dates and his radio shows are in NJ and Philly then. So I am guessing he will just stay in NYC from the 21st until late the 24th or early the 25th. If there are any TV shows planned, we should hear about his schedule by early next week, I would think.
ETA: Meant to mention, it appears Cook has been dropped by RCA. The song he is singing on Idol Thursday says "self release" on it. I like him a lot. He's a good guy. That made me sad. If I were an NAL fan, I'd be worried.

Thanks mys*&@^#r. I'm sad about Cook, too. He has a great voice. I thought he opened upper 40's (which makes the predictions for Adam to sell 50-65K that I have seen at a certain AI site seem rather bizarre).

NAL is next on the chopping block. RCA threw him out there to sink or swim and he's sinking fast. I'm a little worried about Adam's NCOE single. It's moving so slowly once again. I hope pop stations get on board soon. His album is so phenomenal and needs a hit single so people will buy the album. I worry too much! Guess I'll go mow the lawn.

I'll take these adds! Quick question, what were Cook's 1st week numbers? Trying to get a little idea of where Adam might fall. His were horrible. BTW, it seems he has been dropped by RCA. The single he is performing on Idol this week has "self released" on it. BRB, I have his numbers stored somewhere. ETA: It sold 46,000 the first week and has sold only 118,000 to date. Was his album released international? how about the first one? for both Davids.. Good luck guys! I'm a bit worried about NCOE too. Damn! i don't care about the first week number as long as it keeps selling & it will reach platitum (fingers crossed) as it goes, 'cause the album is THAT good!!

Maybe we really worry if it is still not doing well after the Idol performance. As for NAL, I had checked on one of his fan sites that tracks his spins for TVOL, and someone gave an excellent analysis on why the song isn't going anywhere on radio. She gave many different reasons but it all boiled down to that it is out of the top 40 8 weeks after its add date (10 weeks since it was sent to radio) and that person could not think of any "hit" that was doing that poorly at the same point in time. PM me if you want the link, it was quite interesting.

STEAM IS COMING OUT OF MY HEAD >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( I'm PISSEd Q102 screw them!!!!! He's doing their SPRINGLE BALL and they can't add him BULL SHIT. THey are playing the other artists 2nd single.. I'm FUMING Q102 has a tendency to add on official add dates. Why would you be fuming at a station that has been so supportive to Adam? I'd wait until May 30th to be upset about adds. OK I'm zen right now. S*&@^# I say that about Q102 because yes, in the WWFM era, Q102 was very supportive. Moving forward, BTIKM, he did the radio promo w/them and Q102 NEVER played the song during the regular hrs or had it included in their playlist. Yes, BTIKM was spun at 5 PM BUT only when fans voted like crazy for the countdown as was the case for the 10 PM countdown. He is doing the SPringleball in a week...THe artists have their single being spun during the day and at prime time. Now the 2nd single although officially the add date is May 29 (??) there have been a few stations who had added or if not added, have been playing the song. Q102 is using Adam as a artist therefore, who knows his song. FOr that matter, I garner that 99% of the audience will not even know BTIKM. Now we are onto NCOE, I"m betting 99.9% of the audience which will be tweenies galore will not know WTF he is singing. Waiting another two weeks for the designatd add date, does nothing for Adam right now. He needs the spins for the recognition of this set list. That's why I am p'oed...THey have ample opportunity tp play the 2nd somewhat sporadically and as today, NCOE has not made the countdown at 5 PM. Yes at 10 OK enough of negativity TODAY Q102 PLAYED NCOE at lunch as well as WSTW (93.7) so our requesting must be working. ALso +1 spin is way too slow. He needs the hugh + spins NOW. I so want the TOP 10 and wishing for the #1 spot.

A question.. If the single is supposed to help sell the album, but the deluxe Trespassing album seems to be selling really well on Amazon. Why is it so important that the single NCOE sell? also Adam hasn't done Idol yet and the video hasn't been released or been on VH1 top 20.
I think it will be a hit.. Let's give it time.. all the positive reviews for the album.. this will all start to push the song.
I think we're good.......patience.. It's Adam's year
