That's great! With no promo and very little radio play! This is just from people previewing on i-Tunes!

Wait a minute - Platinum certified For Your Entertainment? Did I miss something? Or can I start a happy dance? I checked RIAA and it still says Gold Certification. I believe they are probably referring to WW sales. Newest fgures for FYE CD as of 4/10/2012: Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (rounded off) the total is---------------------------- 837,000* . Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=numbers&action=display&thread=14#ixzz1uP4K1rWFNo, because it says "certified." You don't get certified worldwide. If it had just said, over 1 million in sales, then fine. But it specifically says "certified."

President Obama affirms his personal belief that same sex couples should be able to marry. I love President Obama in much the same way that I love Adam. With my whole heart and soul. ^^ THIS.

I knew that about the certification was for albums shipped but I thought I heard that with Adam, they were gonna be more stringent and go by actual sales. I'm just not excited. Taylor Hicks is certified platinum. :( I guess I don't understand what Taylor Hicks or any other idol or singer has to do with Adam and his numbers? Not arguing, just don't get it. Well, he sold 705K and is certified platinum. So you can be pretty far away from the certification and still get it. Taylor was only used as an example since he was the first idol winner not to "sell" platinum so whenever I saw him as platinum-certified, it didn't mean much to me. Just my opinion. In the numbers thread, other idols' numbers are discussed for comparison. In fact, we were just discussing David Cook's opening numbers for his sophomore album were 46K.

Who cares what the exact numbers are--it's all about the title. And RCA says Adam in Certified Platinum. Sounds great next to Grammy nominated to me!

You can see that I rarely visit the numbers thread.
