Music artist Adam Lambert: ‘F**k’ anti-gay group ‘One Million Moms’

Openly gay music artist Adam Lambert lashed out Sunday afternoon at the anti-gay group One Million Moms for their latest opposition to retail giant JC Penney using the LGBT community for its advertisements.

One Million Moms announced their opposition earlier this week to JC Penney new Father’s Day ad that displayed a male couple with their children. The ad reads: “First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver — all rolled into one. Or two.”

The organization, which is apart of the American Family Association, release a statement about their disapproval with JC Penney ad.

“It is obvious that JCP would rather take sides than remain neutral in the culture war,” the statement said. “JCP will hear from the other side so they need to hear from us as well. Our persistence will pay off! We must remain diligent and stand up for Biblical values and truth.”

Their response prompted Lambert, who became famous for finishing second in the season eight edition of American Idol to say on his Twitter account, “Fuck One Million Moms, hateful bigots.”

One Millions Moms earlier this year launched a campaign against JC Penney for the store using popular and openly gay talk show Ellen DeGeneres as their spokesperson.

Three years removed from American Idol, Adam Lambert is finally allowed to shake off the pageantry of the televised talent competition and dive into glitter on his second major-label album, Trespassing. There's a distinct lack of ballads on Trespassing -- they're clustered toward the end of the record, sometimes given a spangled once-over by producer Dr. Luke so they don't feel staid, sometimes hinting at the chilly, austere vistas of Ryan Tedder but sounding grander, warmer in the hands of Lambert. Here, the distance from the stuffiness of Idol is apparent but the heart of Trespassing lies in the first two-thirds of the album, when Lambert is strutting like a glam-disco diva, sparring with Dr. Luke and Pharrell Williams, belting out his hooks with an easy confidence. And he's got some great hooks here, too: big, bright, insistent hooks powering songs that revel in their sleaziness. Lambert matches their appeal, singing with an untrammeled joy suggesting that he's relishing an opportunity to make modern dance music. Williams is his greatest foil -- "Trespassing" and the Michael Jackson-via-Justin Timberlake "Kickin' In" grab immediately -- but that's not to slight the rest of the record, particularly the pulsating Nile Rodgers-fueled funk "Shady" and mirror-plated pop of "Cuckoo." Even if these songs never grace the charts, they sound like inevitable hits and prove that Lambert is a genuine pop star who has now left American Idol far behind.

By the rules

Adam here is referring to a love affair that is "fated", or "karmic". Fated by the laws of nature and of astrology in particular. His "playing by the rules" refers to surrendering to a force that is greater than you, that is irresistible, undeniable and compelling, where you, in fact, seem to have no "choice".

The image is volcanic. It is an explosion of attraction. Hot and magnetic. A chain reaction that cannot be stopped once set in motion, it erupts, of itself, when the time is right. The heat of his lover, the glow of his fire, is searing - searching and finding the very core of his being. One cannot live without the other, or so it seems.

In astrology, the natal charts of two people can be analysed as a "synastry", or combined relationship chart that shows the relationship as a dynamic between all the planets and houses in both charts. But this relationship is a case of opposites attracting - the very seed of what attracts each to the other also carries the energy that will destroy it. Lions and lambs are not naturally compatible. So once the force of what draws them together has been explored, they find that they are in reality "enemies", their energy starts to repel rather than attract. One starts destroying the other.

Adam is an Aquarius, and it's opposite sign is Leo, or the Lion. He could be identifying this person as either Leo sun or moon.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The laws are inexorable and unyielding. Fire burns without any compassion towards what it is destroying. And so, the end is as inevitable as the beginning, as day follows night. The cycle is fulfilled, completed.

Wow! That banner picture!

Tonight my husband came in after doing errands all day and said he's really been listening to the Adam CD I gave him, talking about how catchy the songs are and berting about the album, saying it is the best pop album he has heard since Bad Romance.

He liked FYE, but never chose to listen to it on its own when I wasn't around, but he does listen to Trespassing on his own and apparently genuinely loves the music and can't get it out of his head.

This makes me unreasonably happy.

Also Adam's voice in BTR is, once again, amazing. Will that song be on the UK version as well?
