Ok, last era, if I am remembering correctly, Adam had some good success on the BB dance chart. I think maybe with both FYE and one of the WWFM remixes. He may have even had a #1? Does anyone remember this? So, what does it take to get a song on this chart? How does it work? Do you need a hit song first? Would this be, perhaps, a slightly easier route to get some attention in the US?

eta---I know these smaller charts don't bring in sales, but maybe it would be a way of getting radio to pay attention?

Now why were you guys trying to convince me that spins were increasing on C CHR yesterday? Numbers are telling a different story.

From what I saw of that conversation yesterday, peeking back it didn't specify Canada. I think most posters were talking out US Top 40, but I might have missed someone.

Canada Top 40 had one station cut back a lot -> CFUN. Now a few other stations are slowing slightly, just in the past day or so. But with Canada since there aren't as many stations to begin with, even one or two stations adjusting spins can make a visible difference. As new spinners come in, or these stations pick up again, the dynamic can change again quickly.

So Phillip Phillips' Home has 4 CHR adds today, not even counting the HAC adds he's gotten this week. Home is about as un-CHR as it gets. But a dance song like NCOE so far has none this week?

I think the question is, what is Interscope doing as opposed to RCA? Phillip hasn't exactly been doing promo seeing as he just got out of the hospital. I also don't understand where the IHeartRadio performance that Adam did is. It had been reported, in the Billboard article I think, that he was taping the IHeartRadio thing to be available on 100+ station websites. I haven't seen it on one yet, a month later. The only place I've been able to find it is on You Tube and those were fan vids.

Just to clarify. Last nite while in the regular thread, I posed some rhetorical questions. Many came back and said I should not worry as C CHR spins were increasing. I just don't see it. I.AM.WORRIED. I notice every radio station I vote on, Adam is always on top, yet he gets played little. I really do believe his position on the itunes chart has something to do with it. Unfortunately, a catch 22.

An observation, as Kelly got played more, she was No. 1 on itunes for quite awhile. Her spins increased, her sales increased (yes I know cause and effect), but I do believe there is a direct correlation.

I wouldn't say C CHR is really decreasing if you look at it over the last few weeks. It's around 150-165. It's not increasing but it's not decreasing either.

You didn't ask about the CHR spins in Canada, so no one was trying to convince you otherwise. Your original post asked about radio spins in general and others replied saying that the spins had increased on CHR. That is 100% true.

Maybe I am overlooking something, but I can't find any posts that told you that CHR spins in Canada, or C CHR spins, were increasing.
