Bamafan I don't have any NEW stories to tell since September - It has been pretty quiet in Kentucky since Adam whirled through, though Gaga was here last weekend, if that counts. And the only man in my life is now ADAM, so it will be up to all the newbies to share! Though ljsmack can spin a good tale or two-  She and I were both at the Indianapolis show, which was AWESOME. I am trying hard to be a DVD/CD virgin until Mayumis so it will be all new! It will be great to see everyone again and to enlarge our circle - Wouldn't it be great to have an Atop gathering with Adam present - I don't know who would be the last survivor - but I don't even think Adam can keep up with this bunch!! See you and the "gang" soon! You'll have to re-tell some of your stories...one in particular, I recall was the highlight of the night ! And Needacoke has a few doozies she can share as well. Poor Mayumi,  she'll have her hands full with this bunch. POOR MR. MAYUMI!!!! Mayumi can hang with the best of 'em but Mr. Mayumi may need to lock himself in his bedroom. ;D |

Adam can perform in a campy style, this is true. But I don't think of the songs as campy, which is what he is saying about the album. Think of Music Agan, when he did it on The CBS Early Show. That was not campy at all. The only songs, that to me, might be slightly campy are FYE and IIHY. But that is only when I think about the videos. Before I had the visuals of these music videos, I never thought of either song as campy. The first time he performed Soaked, he was campy. But I don't think any of us would feel that song is a campy song, now.

I haven't worried for one minute over what Adam is going to do in the next album. On Idol, Adam was never repetitive with his performances. I think, or rather hope, that we will be getting the same thing with his CD's. I love me some camp but I'm excited at the prospect of getting a different flavor from Adam this time. He is so incredibly multidemensional that I think it's a smart move to show the world something different. I want Adam making music for us for a long time and I just see this as another piece of the entire body of work he will make.  ITA, tinafea!!! I'm not the least bit worried. He IS so multidimensional and I think he really has his eyes on establishing himself as an artist and songwriter who isn't just all flash and fun, but really has something powerful to say. He is so savvy and he knows to be critically acclaimed and accepted into the "elite" artist community, he has to produce powerful work. And I also don't worry one iota that he won't be able to work whatever he comes up with into a dazzling, fun, breathtaking stage show. I mean look how much he modified FYE for GNT? He kept the camp; he kept the depth; he kept the message. He can do the same for his next stage show, I have no doubt. He's rather creative that way.  ETA: WTF, I am having major code-copy fail today. >:( I never said I was one bit worried about Adam 2. I'm not. His instincts are incredible and his knowledge about current musicl trends is fantastic. I am just trying to figure out what songs ( not performances) he thinks are campy. |

One thing about Adam, he doesn't go backwards. Following the one-step back AMAs. he went forward six steps the next day. The puppetmaster and all the angels have kissed our boy over and over (that's what those freckles are--kisses from the angels). Adam never does the same thing. I am so excited for the next album. I know he will beat the whole industry up with his sparkle. Life is so much fun with Adam in it. I am so glad he came along for this elite group of Adam-lovers that follow him. He is like the Pied Piper. We are all going to end up in heaven. See if I am not absolutely correct on this psychic premonition for his next album.
