I think the idea of tweeting a picture of a close up of a handwritten note or sign to a station could be kinda cute, and thank you tweets/emails etc. are always good. do kids/teens send thank you emails/tweets? I know none of the teenagers I know would do that so I think that's a dead give away that the request came from someone older than their target audience. the performance of this song on radio really confuses me. it's what the radio people said they wanted.... Did RCA drop the ball on this because it certainly wasn't Adam and it isn't the song itself, which is pretty perfect for radio.

About Jim and VH1. IMO, when he said "go above him" he did not mean VH1. I have followed VH1 countdown since WWFM days and have even followed it for other Idols I like, like David Cook & Kelly. IMO, the fan vote counts for very little. As a matter of fact, I would say that Chart #, sales, and $$ from the label are 3 most important factors. So if RCA doesn't want to spend the money to get the song on VH1, all the spamming to VH1 won't do diddly squat. And if the other factors are chart # and sales, then it would really be a waste of RCA's money to use it for this. JMHO

Yeah, clearly, for whatever reason, RCA isn't working VH1 for this video. I would guess that voting numbers for the countdown amount to next to nothing (in terms of how valuable they are). So hopefully fans won't be bugging VH1. It might be that RCA has decided that spending more money on the single in the US isn't a wise investment at this time. Maybe they are waiting to see how NCOE does in the UK, along with how much buzz Adam gets for Queen before they make any more moves.

Maybe not, but I'm talking about tweets like 'i just heard never close our eyes on @radiostation LOVE IT!' Also Top 40's core audience goes up to 25, and HAC ends in the 40's or so. My HAC station seems to focus heavily on 'mommy' listeners, has a get your toddler on air time slot, etc.

Have you guys noticed the ads during 10 at 10 or the Chicago U Mix It or on the on line sites? They are not advertising Clearsil or products for teens! Here are the big ads on the Q102 site right now: Mazda A Live Sesame Streeet Show A resort in the Poconos A Day Spa Now, how in the world would those ads appeal to the supposed teen market?! ???

FUCK RADIO! THIS MAN IS A SUPER STAR!!!!!!!!!!!! After Adam's performance today, it makes me even angrier the way RCA is handling him, or not handling him I should say. NOT ONE tweet by RCA today promoting this. When he performed at the EMA's last year with Queen a fan had to tweet them first before they ever even mentioned it. And now it looks like they aren't even promoting the video to VH1? I really don't get them.
