Oh and another RCA thing! WTF with pushing Adam to HAC?! Huh??!!! Adam is not an HAC artist! Did the radio team even look at this album when they chose the first single?

I don't see them even considering another tour like GNT without at least one hit single. Besides the fact that it would be playing to the same group of fans, it would keep Adam out of the public eye for way too long.
Yeah, that pushing Adam to HAC is new thinking this era---RCAEd actually posted about the importance of a CHR brand during era 1.

I think RCA will look more at how well the one off concerts sell, as opposed to radio play when determining if a tour is possible. Many artists tour with less radio support or sales.

And perhaps the Queen gigs will help with that. I'm just not sure how much publicity the Queen gigs will generate here. I'm thinking very little. :(

But without some new hit singles, it will be his old fanbase with only a few new ones thrown in for the concerts. Then where does that leave Adam for album #3? RCA needs to work this single and IMO, if Interscope can do it with Lights - Elle Goulding, then RCA should be able to do it easily with Adam Lambert and this song! Sorry, but RCA has dropped the ball on these 2 singles. The rollout for BTIKM, with the Dec release, was nothing short of ridiculous. Adam has worked his butt off and the fans have been doing all they can do. The only under performers I see is from this supposedly great radio team and "King Joe!" I have been trying to give RCA the benefit of the doubt, thinking, "They must have a plan that we don't see. These single rollouts can't really be this screwed up!" Right down to the single choices of the only 2 songs that are nothing like the rest of the album! :-/ To have an artist with Adam's talent, good looks, personality, and charisma and blow it like this is inexcusable and almost laughable!! The only thing I am grasping at right now as hopeful was that wonderful backstage interview that Adam did with radio Alice. He is so positive and so hopeful and has mentioned more than once in other interviews, "It is only the beginning." And that there are more singles to come. I hope he is keeping some big secret that will knock our socks off when we find out. Pretty much feel like you, MyS*&@^#r!

I would suggest kissing Sauli at some highly visible red carpet event ;D

Huh???Nobody is knocking the fans. Just stating that without a hit single a tour isn't likely to pull in many new ones. Maybe a few more one-off concerts would make more sense than devoting months to a tour that probably won't do much to expand his base.
He doesn't need "gates." Those provide a temporary blip. He needs something to go his way musically.

He's had plenty of "gates." All he needs right now is radio. It's the missing piece.

I'm looking at Daughtry's tour and the type of venues he's doing, and that's what I see in Adam too when he's touring. Which is not bad considering Chris has more hits on radio than Adam. I know his 3rd album is not bad but compare to the first 2 albums, he's struggling, and it seems his fanbase is shriking too right?
Adam really needs a hit on the radio. So sad many people don't know his album is out and its a great album. Sure hope he will create huge buzz with Queen gig and make big wave in Europe and his album sells well, and that RCA will behind him and put out another single here.

RCA pushed him to HAC because of the large older fanbase. Problem is...they didn't even do a very good job of pushing him to HAC. The single choices reflect that, BTIKM was about as un-CHR friendly as it gets and NCOE, don't even get me started. Mini-rant, I always thought it sounded show tuney, corny with that "Nevah!" delivery. Yes, it has a dance beat but that's about all it has in common with CHR. It sounds like almost Broadwayish. I've always wondered why I've always had such disdain for the song. I finally figured it out. Besides being the obvious delay for the album (which in hindsight hasn't been worth it), it sounded show-tuney. Nothing against show tunes but that sound doesn't belong on radio. Too much of Adam's theater kid came out in the delivery of that song. I don't care how much production Dr. Luke threw at the song, it's the almost corny melodramatics of the song. That song would have been better if it had been slowed down, sung softly. Bless his heart, Adam tried to do too much with it. CHR is all about fun right now. That song sounds like something someone pulled from a Broadway play and stuck a dance beat to it. Sorry. ???
And a tour? I agree that a full out tour is kinda out of the question until Adam's sales pick up. I know the Winstar Casino show still has a lot of tickets left and aren't there still tickets available for FS? He's not selling tickets like he did two years ago, even with them being selective one off shows.
