They pushed him to HAC because they thought choosing a song that was close to WWFM (even tho it isn't) was the way to reintroduce Adam. Adam has addressed that in many interviews. Just one of the many ways they were wrong.
Yup, radio CHR is full of fun, different songs right now! I agree! But NCOE does not sound like a show tune, IMO! Not even close! I would have perferred Cuckoo, but no one knows if that wouuld have gottten played either. But, in my mind (and I know I am projecting) if it were me, I'd rather sink or swim with something that actually represented my new sound on my new album.

I honestly do get the show-tune vibe with NCOE. I can understand this. Kind of Broadway set to dance beat. It is sung very dramatic. And I wish it had a "real" bridge. Anyway, it's the single (and I do like the song) so I am supporting it. But, I wish they had gone with something fun like Naked Love, complete with the cool and current Crystal Waters part in the bridge.

Hoppers, to access mediabase again, login with the name: mediabase, password: radio. You will have to return to Mediabase.com after verification.
It's probably best not to post these things - PM or DM them.
That's why I deleted it the first time you posted it
