R1 and R2 had no hesitancy in picking up Carrie cause she's been so successful in the US. She'll either catch on or not but at least they're willing to give her a chance because of her mammoth success in the US. It's gotta be a hard sale for them with Adam since RCA has literally let 2 singles tank in the US this era and FYE went nowhere in the UK a few years ago. I remember reading that Carrie was added to R2's "C Playlist"(very limited spins) and R1 didn't add her (still hasn't). True She's very successful in the States but judging from her current positions on all the major sales outlet charts (Amazon, iTunes, HMV, play.com), she's on the downslope rapidly, or completely out of it. However, her album is doing quite nicely in Australia(#18 on ARIA this week). Maybe, the OZ is more into country...duh! of course, hello! Keith Urban! Australia does have a reasonable country market, whose heartland (like Nashville) is based around Tamworth in New South Wales. Most acts, though, that want to "make it big", like Keith Urban, have to try and break into the US market. Keith is also doing very nicely lately, having become the favourite coach on the Australian version of The Voice. Definitely gave him a sales bump and a very high profile into the mainstream market. Australia is also known to have a very lucrative touring market, which is probably what Carrie is also trying to tap in to gradually.

Things are looking good in the UK IN SPITE OF THE FACT that Trespassing stock is depleted in almost every store. Our guys that are over there are reporting back that stock is gone everywhere they've looked. I know this is reminiscent of Idol fans constant complaints/excuses about lack of stock to explain why their idol isn't selling, but this seems definitely legit. Demand was seriously underestimated. If they can't restock in time for end of week charts it may seriously affect sales. Only DL' will be doable.
Maybe this was posted in News and if so I'm sorry to repeat, but I have a busy busy day today and don't have time to check.

Maybe they didn't expect that US fans in town for Queen would be buying so many copies Anyway, I'll ask this here, too. How many albums did Carrie sell to debut at #11? Do we know?

According to @leytonb's twitter (guy from ChartShowTV):
7080 sold of NCOE and 3,869 of Trespassing sold so far in mid-week charts. Anyone know when final numbers are in?
