Waiting for Adam interview on Gaydar Radio. Thought it was supposed to be 23 minutes ago, but here's the link as a reminder. Hubby wants lunch now. Did hear them mention that Adam is coming up. bit.ly/LJ8NjQ

Your welcome. As far as mediafire goes - I've never uploaded anything to mediafire but I could try...I'm more of a torrent guy. I'll tell you, though, that I'm having a really emotional time with these concerts, because I'm just overwhelmed about how good Queen is, along with Adam. I was barely Queen literate, and during the last few years have been getting my education through being an Adam fan. Some of Brian's solos have moved me to tears, and I don't really even like loud electric guitars--usually. Add Roger and the other musicians to the mix and I'm overwhelmed. I guess I'm feeling the power of music in a way that hardly ever happens to me. It's an unexplainable jumble of feelings. Anyways, thanks for your input and the video link. Glad to hear. If you want something great from Brian as far as powerful, moving guitar - try to find Last Horizon (He did all the time during the QPR tours) and Bijou (during the 08 with Freddie singing 4 lines via video) - VERY moving stuff! TALON, Thanks for the guitar solo suggestions. Just beautiful. Now I have just started a new bookmark folder for Queen. The guitar part that I just love is at the end of WWTLF as Adam exits (after the unfortunate flat high note :-/). The guitar just cries yet it is so simple. Brilliant. It is at 49:50 in this full concert video. I tried to find a previous version, and there is no ending like this on QueenOfficial YT.

Talon, I'm curious. What did most Queen fans think about the Paul Rogers collaborations? That's a tough nut. It's all basically when you asked...LOL. In general when it was announced it was about 50/50. There are some Queen fans who think it is basically blashphemy for anyone but Freddie to have a long term realtionship with the band) Part of them (honestly myself included) would rather Brian and Roger just get a few other musicians like what they have now and just front the show themselves...I think that's the purist thing they could do and Roger and Brian can obviously both sing. BUT the tour did win a lot of fans overall until they released the new album. That lost a lot of support as it brought up the idea of a Queen album without Freddie. For the most part the main argument seems to be using the Queen name. If Brian and Roger worked with Paul under a new name or under May/Taylor/Rodgers or whatever it would have been far more acceptable to them. Furthermore I think the same applies here. If Brian and Roger worked with Adam and didn't call it Queen, it might go down easier. To me it's nitpicky and I don't really care what they call it but I can understand why they feel the way they do. I do find it amusing that now some people who were against PR are now clamoring for them to get back together with him. Hi Talon, Welcome. I very much appreciate your comments ... it gives another perspective on the comments we've seen on Queen websites. I fall somewhere in the middle ... I still cry every time I hear Freddie's voice, I'll never get over that. And I delight when I even hear the first strains of Brian's guitar. It's been really hard for me to read all the comments that are derogatory about Adam as a person because I adore Adam and I hold my breath at some points wondering if something he's doing will alienate more die-hard Queen fans. I am just so happy to see Brian and Roger looking like they are having such a good time ... and if it's because of Adam, how can that be a bad thing. In your comment that the hard-core fans that were against PR are now wanting him back ... do they want him back because they think he's better than Adam? And thank you for mentioning Bijou ... one of my all-time favorites.

I always post here with disjointed thoughts. I'll be going about my day and then think of something that someone posted and while I'm singing Somebody to Love in my head I sit down to type. Anyways, this one thing has been on my mind. Sometimes I think we all over analyze. I hope we are all really just sitting back and enjoying the moment and loving the videos and watching this experience unfold. When I read that we are a little "overboard" with our "take" on the performances, I say, so what! We're stanning, that is all. Who cares. What is there to compare these performances against. Freddie? Paul? How can one really do that? Adam is not trying to be them. I think he's doing a great job being himself and bringing his interpretation to the stage. How much practice did this group actually have together -- something like 5 days? I hope for everyone else this whole thing is just simply GREAT FUN. Like Mr. Lambert remarks on many occasions, "It's not that deep!" As for Roger and Dr. May, good for you wanting to continue to play your music. I'm sure not a performance goes by where Freddie is not filling their hearts. They lived his death. Perhaps playing this music is a celebration of his life for them. In any case, I'm waking up in the morning singing songs I was singing "back in the day". It's a thrill! Brava !!! ITA 100 % :2tears:

It's great! Just made CDs for the treadmill and car. The bass on Dragon Attack is awesome! I'm sitting here at the computer with good headphones and can't get up. I need to pack my suitcase...I have done nothing all morning but watch vids.
