I'm still holding out hope for the Olympics. Adam may not be British, but he'll be singing British music with a British band. We saw what a jump Trespassing took on Amazon when the Kiev concert videos were posted; imagine what a performance at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics could do!I think Roger is not good at keeping secrets! I think some of the first leaks we got about the extra concerts were from him. The Olympics would be wonderfulbut I think it would be 1-2 songs only. I am hoping he means more concerts, next year, in the US! PLEASE!!! I have wondered if this series of concerts is in part an 'audition' for the Olympics. Say the organising suits at the London Olympics ask Brian and Roger to be involved and they say they want to do it with Adam. I can imagine the response to that would be that it's too risky because they hadn't had enough experience playing with Adam (just 2 brief tv performances, a long time apart) and that Adam doesn't have enough experience playing to big, huge stadium crowds. This little tour satisfies any misgivings the suits might have. It could be why Adam's answer to whether he is going to be at the Olympics has always been a bit weird. Maybe he just can't say one way or the other until this tour comes off. Or this is epic wishful thinking and speculation on my part.

Marie222PF, ITA with your sentiments. If the diehard Queen fans are happier if Brian and Roger won't use Queen anymore as the band name, then they can just use...drum roll please . . . . . .

talon said : "Thanks! From my perspective it wasn't quite a home run for a few reasons. I don't know if it was nerves or what but I thought he was quite pitchy during some of the Kiev performance (I was very disappointed in The Show Must Go On for example) - I will admit that he seemed much more in tune in Moscow)"
I agree that Kiev was rocky in places, and I can forgive. Adjustments get made, comfort levels between band members improve.
"I also think that Adam does not have a true rock voice. He's got GREAT range no doubt - a few too many diva runs for my taste ...But his voice can be a bit thin at times especially when singing in front of the massive sound of Queen. It's hard to explain to be honest. Mostly it's during the rockingest numbers. His ballads are superb."
Here is where I disagree - I find Freddie's voice thin-ish at times. Certainly the more organic (for lack of a better term) "rock voice" suits some songs/styles - maybe Adam's training and background gets in the way of that voice - but I feel his voice more, in all the styles he sings. Music/sound is so subjective. I quite like the runs (not all the time, but most), and the ability to change-it-up. ETA: Adam is singing and representing a new generation - different strokes for different folks.

Sometimes I feel like texting Z100, instead of the polite, beggaring "Pls play Lambert NCOE", the more aggressive: "Lambert, why Moscow and not New York?"
But I know that when, "sent to the studio", the message would just make the radio gods mad.
