Yes I finally found it! I have a Mac. I thought it would go directly to iTunes, but it didn't and it's sitting in a folder. Not sure how to move it to iTunes now.. it's a MPEG4. Thanks for asking! Open ITunes, Under File tab, go down to Add file to library. A window will open and as long as you know where to find the file, you are golden Wow thanks tinafea.. it worked! That was easy with your simple instructions.

I hope it is #1 tonite again... the TOP 10 is airing now... and if Adam will be #1 again... BTR will play about 6:50/6:55pm (time in Brazil).... now it's 6:18pm... So was By the Rules released as a single in Brazil or did the djs just take it upon themselves to play it..?? I love that song. IT's got such an island feel. IN other news,: How the hell I am getting anything done this week is beyond me. :dunno: This Queenbert stuff is killing me. I'm up till all hours just staring at videos. :4OMG:

I will probably have to change my name and go into hiding after this post. If you never see another post from me on ATop you can surmise that I was banned permanently. But, here goes: I don't think that Adam's voice is particularly well suited for hard rock.I think he is effective singing with Queen because he has the range for the songs, and he eats up the stage. His showmanship is something very rare these days, but is the essence of Queen as rock opera. The typical voice I hear in hard rock is very chesty. Gruff. And pretty much flat in terms of resonance. There is the basic note, but it lacks the sub-harmonics that add richness and depth. How to explain? When you sing something in the shower, your voice bounces off the smooth surfaces and creates a fuller, richer sound, almost an echo. When you sing the same phrase outside in the open, there is nothing to bounce off, and it sounds dull. The rock singer may be able to belt things out very loudly and with power, but, usually without ring. Adam's voice has all kinds of resonance and sub-harmonics. It's like he is always singing in the shower, even without a mic. The notes bounce around his body, his chest cavity and his head cavities. He has this "ping" or ring to his voice. Even though he can sing with great power on those belted high notes, through much of his range, his voice has a light, almost lilting quality. He can darken it up some, he can add grit, but it's still a light tenor voice. When he really powers it up, he magnifies the resonance even more, and he also uses techniques to sharpen the consonants and vowels in the words to give it bite. It gives the illusion of a rock vocal, but, sound frequency wise, it's not. Adam's voice "fits" better for musical theater, arts songs, and light opera. (Come To Me, Bend to Me, and My Conviction style). There his type of voice is rare and coveted. However, Adam does not want to sing light opera. He wants to sing rock and pop. And, he does it very well, despite not having a voice made to fit that genre. He MAKES his voice fit the genre. Could he actually sing like the typical rocker dude? Possibly. If he had never had classical vocal training, probably to an extent -- if he was singing incorrectly for his body and voice physiology. It would damage his voice over time, like that type of singing without classical technique has damaged other great rock voices. But, I don't think Adam will willingly abandon his technique and training and sing in a style that is harmful on the vocal cords. Even if he wants to be a rock god. The instrument he has is too precious to risk. And, singing with that resonance and ring in your body FEELS so good, from head to.... well, you have seen evidence of where it feels REALLY good. I love the SHOW he puts on with Queen. It is such a total performance. It looks effortless, but, it is very hard work. I have fingers and toes crossed he will perform with them in the US, somewhere relatively close to me. All this is just my opinion based on what I know about the voice. YMMV. Well I agree with you on his technical voice and the potential damage (if not already done) from his style and song choices. He has always said he does NOT want to do rock. Queen is not "hard rock" but it really doesn't matter because of the wear and tear he puts on his voice - it may as well be. He has said himself his voice is a "throwback" and not suited to rock in the traditional sense. Even if you consider Journey in that genre. Regardless, his own ballads and style of doing his uptempo songs are taxing too. I think he will tone down the flourishes and sing some of the songs straight when he's touring. Just like before. OTOH I don't know if he can get rid of the "yeah" tic as easily (shade, but OK I said it) But this Queen catalog is the WORST! Olympic sized. Freddie himself adjusted his live performances and so far Adam has NOT. None of the other front men fill ins do what he does. PR had cut his songs back to almost speaking them and let background do the melodic bridges etc. Queen Extrav has like 4 singers picking up the slack. So Adam is out there on his own historically, singing these songs as written for the studio - live. He stated they're crashing pop into rock and I think if they go past the UK gigs he will adjust the songs to protect his voice somewhat. But it's all dangerous, imo, training not withstanding because as you probably know he is not all that famous for protective technique - when he wants a certain sound or if he's tired, he's going to use whatever he wants at the moment (like the flat tongue but let's not go there). Typical male LOL. Also while Freddie had a different tone etc and was a baritone, I think Adam well knows he will just have to deliver his tenor voice and mixy transitions when necessary and accept that he's not going to get a dirty sound from it without damage. Which I think he has already stated given the Exec Producer had problems getting that out of him during FYE. He's never going to sound like people are used to hearing the songs live...a baritone with nodules who can cheat his way past his chest LOL. But I don't think it matters for Queen shows, people will get WTF about it then adjust after the opening hahaha. I'm sure he fully knows that his polished voice is trained for "not rock: and it is not some awakening he's in need of. This rock business was a misnomer from the IDOL crowd who just could not accept his desires AND/OR capabilities. Being Rock and Roll does not mean your modal voice will cooperate and push you into the "rock" part of that term. hahaha. I didn't watch Moscow that carefully but I thought I saw him doing a bit shorter notes than he did in Kiev. But I only watched a little. I know Adam loves the flourishes as his trademark but I think he could easily get away with much less and even win some people over who think he overperforms, show boats, is insecure, whatever...if he just sang most of the songs straight. In his way, of course and just omit several wails hahaha.

Freddie is Freddie, Adam is Adam, Plant is Plant et cetera. They all are awesome and there is no need to compare them IMHO. I personally love vocalists like George Michael, Robbie Williams, Dave Grohl or Chris Cornell and I don't want them to be like Adam and vice versa. For me it is like trying compare "Mona Lisa" to "The Night Watch" - IMHO utter nonsense. AMEN SISTAH. I'm completely against any comparisons. I only want to see if someone is doing justice to the songs and there's no one else in the world right now who could do justice to the Queen songs other than Adam. BTW I looooove the same singers as you do.

Yes I finally found it! I have a Mac. I thought it would go directly to iTunes, but it didn't and it's sitting in a folder. Not sure how to move it to iTunes now.. it's a MPEG4. Thanks for asking! It should work the same way as on Windows. Put the video in a folder where you want it. Start up iTunes. Click on the "File" tab and then "Add file to Library" in the drop down menu. Locate the video file in the pop up file chooser. Click on "Movies" in iTunes and you should see a list of videos including the one you just imported. Thanks dancygeorgia! I was able to follow tinafea's directions and it worked! I never knew that function was there on iTunes. :

Loved your post, Cassie, I learn so much from you. Adam's voice is different than the hard rock voices I typically love. Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers & Rob Halford are my pre-Adam favorites. In spite of that, for me Adam's voice does work for rock because of the megawatt power and intensity of it. Especially in-person live the power of his voice is phenomenal even though it's not gritty or gruff. JMHO. I can't stop watching these videos, they are SO addictive, it's kind of chokehold-ey but in a good way.
