Playing devil's advocate here - but if Adam agrees to play a gig that he knows will have lots of pre-teens and younger, than I think he should probably tailor his jokes and remarks to fit that audience. Prancing around with a balloon on his crotch - maybe not so appropriate for this kid-filled audience - nor ""mother-fucker" either. just sayin' That is a good point. It is good to be mindful of your audience and not be blatantly disrespectful of audience, culture, etc. while maintaining your own integrity as a performer. Adam is nearly 34 years old, an intelligent man, but there are always lessons to be learned no matter how old you get. He has a microscope on his nearly every move, outfit, word, etc. At 34...or any age for that matter, I would not have passed the "appropriateness" or "perfect" test at every moment of my life. He's human. I think he's handled everything in his life (fame, performances, career, interviews, etc) exceptionally well. No one is 100% perfect 100% of the time. But he's pretty wonderful.
I'm thinking that Adam's talents have barely been tapped. His voice is a given. Even non-fans give him props for a stellar voice. But he has shown (esp. overseas, more than in the U.S.) that he is a FANTASTIC celebrity guest on almost type of show. We've seen numerous programs where he has been funny, witty, smart, introspective, knowledgeable, compassionate, articulate, and on and on. People don't see him enough to get to know him. His US appearances are usually a song on a talk show of some kind, but rarely a sit-down interview. Compared to lots of celebrities, he is MILES more entertaining. I know, I know, if he had #1 hits songs all over the place, he'd be interviewed more. He could gain fans by getting the chance to show who he is as a person, not just what he can do as a singer.
Adam needs opportunities to be known as more than a singer. I see Jennifer Hudson concentrating more on her acting than her singing career. That's a major coup for her. People know her and respect for more than just one thing. It really broadens her fan base far beyond her music fans.
Seems like just about every interviewer who talks to Adam really enjoys him and is impressed with his ability to have a fun, energetic and intelligent conversation. Singing will always be his major thing, but he has lots more to offer. Hope we see the flood-gates open up for him if he gets the chance to show what he can do. I see his peers hosting all kinds of events and being asked to appear here and there and do this show and that show. He's as good as any of them. WB is doing a great job promoting him, far beyond what RCA ever did, but still, you can't appreciate him if you don't know him.

i think that anyone who is a true adam lambert fan, knows what they are getting into when they go to see one of his shows and shouldnt be bringing their kids to see that anyways. And if your a parent who doesnt, then shame on you for sending your child to a concert without first educating yourself on that artist and what they are about.
