I really love Canada and am proud to be a Canuck. BUT I also really loved living in the US for 6 years and have some very good friends there!
I prefer Canada when I need to go to the doctor and am feeling bereft of financial health, but man.....when I want to see vids and access great entertainment, my inner American comes flying out!! haha
somewhat OTT....when I lived in the US, I sang with a Sweet Adelines chorus and one of that groups favorite songs was "I'm Proud to be an American" and I earned many 'brownie points' with my happy willingness to sing that song with great, unabashed gusto!! hahaha
Don't know why I just thought of that.....

I dunno...cause I'm 12? ;D Seriously, it just makes me wanna nest in it. Be a little birdie nesting in his hair, hearing the words/songs come out of his mouth 24/7. Just a little fantasy--or maybe a sign that an intervention is in order? ??? G'night, Viv, ya beautiful Adam-stan! Nest? Now I'll prolly dream all night of birds tweeting in AFL's hair. Never get any sleep from all the racket Back at ya, Hoopla!!! Nitey, nite

HAHAHA you are right...but when you are singing...it is the song...not particularly the lyrics...I loved singing "Go tell it on the Mountain" and I am quite irreligious. Proud has a great base line that is just so fulfilling to belt out!! :

All this talk about Adam on the Early Show prompted me to go back and watch both the spring and the post AMA appearances. I agree that the interview after the AMA show was amazing in the way he presented himself. Don't know how he held it together so professionally and graciously. But, the spring appearance also blew me away. That "Mad World" performance was so pure, so beautiful. From a singer's perspective, I marvel that he was able to sing like that so early in the morning. Singers need time to get their voice warmed up and their body ready to go before singing. When you first wake up your sinuses are a bit stuffy, your throat is coated with phlegm (sorry to be so graphic, but it's true), and it is very difficult to sing with a clear, pure tone. If I had to sing that early in the morning I would probably just not go to sleep the night before, so that I would be thoroughly warmed up. Don't know how Adam managed it, but he did it perfectly. For those of you who know how to make GIFS ~ can you make one for me - of this YouTube video?! From 1:03 to 1:12 approx. ;D
Thanks! ;D ETA - basically, I want from 1:10 to 1:11 or 1:09 to 1:12 of the video - I know it's quite a quick catch - I know someone here can get it! Thanks in advance!!!! I'm not nearly as good as some of the other ninja's around here, but I made a quick one for you, Kapsiz. (I don't pay for an account at gifsoup, so I can't get very high resolution, I'm afraid). You may want a better one, but how's this for now? Thanks much!!
