Richard Kim þ@RichardKimNYC In Florida to trigger a recount the margin of victory needs to be .5% of vote total. Obama now leads by .6% w/ 89% reporting.

Not confirmed but . . . Brendon Ayanbadejo @brendon310
MY SOURCES ARE REPORTING PROP 6 IS CALLED A WIN IN MD. #MarriageEquality Retweeted by Chris Kluwe I hope so! Let me just say, as a person who got to vote on Question 6 today, that it was a remarkably well-written piece of legislation. Basically it said that gays and lesbians would be allowed civil marriages, but that religious clergy could not be forced to perform ceremonies against their beliefs. In other words, no matter what, gays and lesbians have the right to a civil wedding. Now, if (for example) a Unitarian minister is happy to perform the ceremony, you can have both a civil and religious ceremony. However, neither an Orthodox rabbi nor Catholic priest would be required to perform a ceremony if their religious beliefs forbid presiding over such a union. Separation of church and state at its best.

I think Wisc was called for Obama. Oh Akin speaking...what a fucking jerk. Telling that only good Americans are the ones who believe in God @lucethoughts Akin and Mourdock both legitimately raped by their electorates. Thank goodness. and @v_kyriakakis "Rape guy" Todd Akin loses his seat. There is a God. #usvotes #Obama there are plenty of others in this vein.

Emily Major þ@emilymajor09 @negativeneil: Sheriff Deputies, Poll Worker Harass Latinos in Swing State Colorado | The Nation j.mp/TITjQs Not surprised :( There are idiots everywhere but I wouldn't paint the state with this brush. I live in one of the counties in the state that has a high hispanic population and the voting process was very civil to everyone (yes, I'm nuts and voted in person ). This morning there was a large group (10-15) of tweens loudly chanting O-bah-ma! at my polling place this morning. No one asked them to stop ;D

But considering we are a country of over 300 million people the fact that some nut hangs an Obama dumby doesnt really repressent us as a whole. Awww, bb, no one said that. Of course the extremists don't represent the US as a whole, we all international people know that. But it's true that your extremists are really mouthy! IMHO, everyone should have a voice... except haters. Of course we have extremists and haters everywhere, they are not only in the US. But it amazes me how they are allowed to run rampant and do and say whatever they want. I just can't understand it (i.e. those Westboro nutcases). And all that random normal people sprouting hate towards black people, or muslims, or immigrants, or LGBT people... They have a strong voice, and they are vicious. I haven't seen anything like that anywhere else. Here in Spain, there are people who think like that, but they almost never say it out loud because they would get eaten. I love the US. I've visited, I have friends over there. It's a beautiful country full of nuances and wonderful people. But some situations I just can't understand, even if I know those don't represent the US as a whole. I don't know if I'm explaining myself. I don't want to offend anyone or anything. :-/ As I said, I love the US. It's just the fact that certain people are allowed to have a voice and keep influencing other people when their ideas are so hateful. It's one thing to say that a marriage should be between a man and a woman, and another very different to say that gay people should die of AIDS because "God doesn't approve of them". Some opinions are NOT okay, freedom of speech be damned. This is just my opinion and, as I said before, it's not my intention to offend anyone. :-/ Hugs from Spain!

LMAO this is hilarious:
@smethanie My uterus has been watching the election returns tonight through my labia the way a child watches a scary movie through its fingers.
oh and my personal favorite:
@nickseemore Dear Republicans moving to Australia if Obama wins. We have a woman atheist PM, free health, no guns, & gay rights. Proceed with caution.
