Evergreen, I'm so glad you posted this! I watched Rachel Maddow's show earlier tonight and thought this segment was absolutely fantastic, and I wanted to show it to others in my family who missed it. Thanks for making it easy to do that! I'm so happy that the election result was decisive, and that people waited in line to vote for Obama and marriage equality and against right wing extremism and voter suppression. Among many other things. Rachel Maddow's exhaustive list is amazing!

[/IMG]
I am thrilled with this as I spent the last two months immersed in the fabulous Obama ground campaign and was in awe of how it was orchestrated and carried out. I think it was some of the most satisfying time I have spent. So many of us were new to this level of involvement in a campaign but I knew the stakes were high in Florida and here I was living in ground zero. Turns out our electoral votes were not needed but I am convinced that our work made the GOP concentrate huge resources of money and time that allowed us to make even more headway in other battleground states. I am convinced that our huge African American turnout (and it was huge!) was to some extent a personal response at seeing our first African American president disrespected (birth certificate BS, Romney at the debate, State of the Union where the idiot called out you lie etc. etc.). I was privy on a daily basis to the amazing pride and commitment on the part of of all of Obama's workers to a positive outcome to this campaign. The diversity of the workers all focused on the goal and so happy working together was a micro chasm of what the country could and should be like. Color me inspired and ready to go in 2014 to get our idiot governor Mr. Rick voter suppression Scott out of office!

[/IMG]
It's unfortunate that number wasn't 47%. I know I'm 12, but it would have been awsome.
