Obama and his staff/volunteers = classy
Romney and his staff/volunteers = trashy (and somewhat sad)

The people of Florida and other states who refused to leave before they voted ,waiting hours in long lines.. reminded me of the passive resistance movement. It was so like the sit down strikes or the peaceful marches in Selma.. so proud of the incredible Americans who wouldn't take no for an answer. The right to vote is non- negotiable. YES! I am so proud of my fellow citizens who braved those lines so our democracy could work the way it's supposed to! Imagine what Obama's winning margin would have been if the GOP hadn't done everything in its power to suppress the vote of anyone who wasn't planning to vote their way. Clearly they had no faith in their own policies so they had to resort to every dirty trick in the book. Thank goodness that so many of their rulings were overturned before the election, and that the people of this country refused to let their right to vote be taken away.

I am reading now the GOP are going to to rig the voting in 2016, so that they do win, partiularly the swing states. They are going to try to get the electoral college changed such that for the votes counted the candidates will get the equivalent number of electoral votes. For example in Ohio, Romney would supposedly have gotten 12, and Obama 6. But I don't see that Romney would get those votes with the math. Romney would have gotten 8 and Obama 10. But they were actually counting up with the reallocation of electoral votes that Romeny could have won. I guess GOP'rs are not good at math.
We as citizens need to watch closely, some some type of legislation isn't put forward to indeed try to change the electoral college. If they do, electoral votes could be tied. Then we need legislation to change how a president is then chosen.
What I am also reading is that Romney is still shell shocked and just cannot understand how he lost. The GOP needs to recognize the hate mongering and representing just the old white guy does not represent America and it never has.

The Electoral College was formulated to combat the uneducated over a century ago. It is totally unnecessary now!!

Is the Electoral College necessary today? Probably not. When it was written into the Constitution, the sparse number of voters did not have access to information as we do today. The College was a way for those who "understood" politics and government to keep control. (No, the early leaders did not trust the people to make such an important decision; that was the bottom line.) However, only an amendment to the Constitution can eliminate the Electoral College, and that is doubtful. The positive of the College is that it shows how vital *every single vote* is. While it doesn't seem like an individual vote means much in a presidential election, one vote -- yes, ONE single vote -- can swing the electoral votes in a state. A state like California, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Ohio can determine an election.

OMG, my husband is bitching bigtime. He said minorities and young ones voted Obama in, the least informed, and the white people who pay taxes are going to be paying more. I can't totally disagree with him, but I do believe that if Republicans want this country is to survive they need to work together to create jobs, increase taxes and eliminate loopholes for the rich and superrich, work on ending our debt to China (over $5 trillion). Romney who has built up so much money on the backs of many Americans while working at Bain and bankrupting companies and outsourcing jobs to China, needs to bring his money back into this country and be taxed like everyone else. That includes HeWhoCannot amed too Holy smokes, do you realize how offensive and ignorant this is? Where in the world do you get that minorities are the least informed among the population other than you and your husband's prejudiced views? And that white people are the ones that pay taxes? This is astoundingly racist and it's amazing, but not surprising, that not one person disagreed with this viewpoint in the comments. The majority of minorities are hard-working tax payers, and if you ask me the majority of Fox news viewers, which I'm sure aren't minorities, are among the most misinformed people there are right now.

Because she was ranting about her husband and I think some misplaced grammar, had her statement come out wrong.

Because she was ranting about her husband and I think some misplaced grammar, had her statement come out wrong. She wrote that "she can't totally disagree with him" meaning she felt there was some truth as to what he said. And when someone countered her by saying they believed that younger voters were some of the most informed out there, she stated that she stood corrected. And by the way, lest anyone think I'm a complete troll, I love Adam, etc., etc., but after hearing so much BS that minorities voted for Obama because of the theory that 'they want free stuff' that's been bandied about by the conservative media after the election, and the idea the minorities have no skin in the game regarding tax increases because they don't pay taxes, this is the straw that broke the camel's back and I decided to post. If I'm not banned for my comments here, I will definitely endeavor to make most of my upcoming posts about Adam.
