See for me, going into the movie , all I had to compare was the 10th Anniversary Dream Cast. Hard for anyone to live up to that. Correct! |

adamlambert Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers. adamlambert ...it's an opera. Hollywoods movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority. (Dreamgirls was good) adamlambert Anne Hathaway as Fantine and Enjolras were the exceptions for me. adamlambert Helena B Carter and Sasha B Cohen were great too. adamlambert And I do think it was cool they were singing live- but with that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals. adamlambert Eponine's voice was cool too... adamlambert I felt like I should ignore the vocals and focus on the emotional subtext- but the singing was so distracting at times it pulled me out. adamlambert The industry will say "these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live"but why not cast actors who could actually sound good? adamlambert Sorry for being so harsh but it's so True! Seriously though you ladies haven't dated 3 men in a year? Do you all think dating automatically means they are having sex? I'm baffled by this puritan attitude considering we stan a man who himself had more than a passing fancy for flings prior to meeting and falling in love with Sauli. LOL, I'm just stating the fact from what Taylor herself said on her magazine interview and then I become a puritan?? LOL Time to go back to the more beautiful person ADAM LAMBERT! |

Actually what is being discussed is how public perception of the person bears no resemblance to their "actual" behavior. Public perception of Miley Cyrus is that she is a slut, yet she has been engaged for 3 years to the same guy but public perception of Taylor is that she is sweet and innocent despite being involved (at whatever level) with many many guys. Miley has not been engaged for 3 years...unless of course we believe she got engaged when she was 17 years old? Allow me to do a little Q3 style research on Miley: 2006-2007 Nick Jonas (she was 14) Sept 08 - June 09 Justin Gaston Sept 09 - August 10 - Liam (current fiance) Nov 2010 - Mike Posner (just a rumor but we know if it's a rumor when it comes to these ladies and their men it must be true) Dec 2010 - Fling with Avan Jogia Feb 2011 - Josh Bowman (again just a rumor) April 2011 to present - Liam Miley is 3 years younger than Taylor. Maybe she got lucky and found "her one" or maybe they'll break up and she'll be back on the market. Who knows I like Miley too but Taylor and her aren't even remotely similar in their choices. Lest we forget that Miley has also been video taped smoking a synthetic pot and partying long before she was legally old enough to do so and that might play a bit of a role in why she's labeled and Taylor isn't. Hate to be blunt but gay men ARE promiscuous. So are straight men but let's get real here one man controlling his dick is hard enough (no pun intended lol)...two of them? yeah I have a bunch of gay friends and they hump like bunnies whenever they can. They are safe and smart about it so more power to em I say. I guess I have to wonder how many makes someone promiscuous? and by who's standard is it being counted. And not sure about today but when I was "dating" it pretty much equated to sleeping with (different times). So was I promiscuous or just enjoying myself having a great time in the sack and exploring my sexuality? Plenty would probably argue the former but for me was definitely the latter... And to bring it back to Adam I really don't care if he sleeps with the football team - his personal life is of little interest to me (and yes that includes Sauli). I am a fan because of his music and his voice. |

frecklesexual I don't want spoil it for you, but one day her image will be destroyed for whatever reason even if she is a saint. That's the way the media works. Nobody here is telling that she is doing something wrong. She's not. But it could be totally another way around and for many artists it would be. She is not special, she is just lucky. And in that department IMHO Adam is really lucky to. For now.

Before being an Adam fan --- I am shall we say tone deaf, pitch deaf... or whatever.
Nor I am artistic - so would not know what should be or shouldn't be. Ignorance is bliss. I was very easy to please ... particularly if the star was my idol. And I was like billion others, imo. So I would go back to my old self and enjoy Les Mis when it will be shown here. And I doubt it will click like movies about Marvel stars.
Oh yeah, I now have this little ear for music -a little bit educated from adamtopia.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but am very happy to see Adam's "review." Why? Hard to put into words.
Adam praises many pop singers and compliments their voices. I listen to them, scratch my head, and wonder "what the hell is Adam talking about? What is Adam hearing that I am not? Cuz they are NOT what I would call 'good' singers!" Being such an exceptional and highly trained singer himself, and having worked amid other beautiful singers in musical theater, I couldn't comprehend Adam's appraisals.
However, these tweets make total sense to me. And I finally understand that Adam has different criteria for what comprises a "good" singer, depending on genre. It's another example of Adam's open-minded appreciation for diversity and artistry in many different forms. And a good object lesson for a "music snob" like me to open my own mind to more variety.

I love the way Adam just tweets out his opinion of the movie with his objective eye. Says what he thinks and stands by it. He's not cruel in any way just telling it like he see's it! Just the way people critique his every move and song and love life etc! He's knows he's going to hear about it and does it just the same. #keepingitreal
