Ahh.. if a lot of people (not trained ears) can hear it, then it must've been obvious to Adam's ear. Hugh Jackman isn't a singer per se, even though he's appeared on Broadway. I think that is Adam's point though. There are PLENTY of actors who are both brilliant actors AND can also sing at the level this particular musical requires. I think Adam, as a stage actor for 15+ years, was trying to make the point that there are plenty of good actors that are also good to great singers. Broadway and live theatres around the country are full of them! Of course, the press and gossip sites have to twist his meaning around and make their ridiculous headlines attention grabbing. I'll bet Adam corrects them tomorrow too!  |

Adam's tweets on Les Mis (I sure didn't see "HATED" in his words ) made me think about other movie musicals that I have enjoyed such as Moulin Rouge' that had non-singing actors (Nicole Kidman for one).
Quite a few actually...Gigi is another...Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire ...Johnny Depp was mentioned.
Not sure where I stand on this. I love musicals so many times I overlook ,may I say, out of tune singing for the enjoyment of the songs.
Adam's favorite movie is Velvet Goldmine; I need to revisit it ...wonder if there is a pass for rock opera.

I read some of the comments on Jared i.e. Adam's Les Mis comments. Someone said that there are few opera and voice teachers sending Adam twits and agree with him. Did anyone see these twits?
