Absolutely amazed that Frank got any bump after that performance!

Absolutely amazed that Frank got any bump after that performance! I'm afraid many TV viewers don't really care or pay attention to the quality of singing/performance, high-profile exposure intrigues people; after all, Lana Del Rey has managed to sell over half a million CDs in the US after that SNL train wreck. Channel Orange has sold 458,3000 copies in the US as of Jan 9, 2013, and 679,000 copies worldwide by the end of last Dec. estimated by Media Traffic. Both Lana's domestic and int'l sales are head and shoulders above Frank Ocean, especially the int'l numbers (a little over 3mil), yet, she's completely ignored by the Recording Academy.

Industry News: Lady Gaga injury requires surgery; tour canceled!>>> After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal.
"I am completely devastated and heartsick," Lady Gaga said in a statement Tuesday. "I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night's performance I could not walk."
Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14. <<<source: blogs.suntimes.com/music/2013/02/lady_gaga_postpones_concerts_i.html

Sad! Poor Gaga and her fans! :( 21 shows were cancelled. She needs down time, she's been going and going forever! Hope she fully heals.

He actually got 17 HAC adds yesterday. 5 of the 22 are from last week. Add in the AAA and he has a total of 30. Oops. one of those is a Top 40 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Interestingly, that is the same Top 40 station that started spinning Home first in Top 40 & they spun the crap out of it. Like 100+ spins to start. I actually like Gone, Gone, Gone. I think it is way more Top 40 friendly than Home was. Neither of his singles have ben one of the many he has written. Have any of the smashes by Idols been written or co-written by them? Another way P2 has been lucky is his album sales (which I guess were driven by Home). I have no doubt he'll get platinum. I wanted FYE to go platinum so bad. It really deserved to. I must have bought, donated, over 50 copies. :(

Daughtry has written all his songs. Phillip's singles are ones he has not written. Carrie, Kelly don't write much. David Cook writes. He wrote his single after the coronation single. So pretty much, only Daughtry has written his hits.
