Except for Bonnie, his pimping has been all Interscope artists  I figure he split from RCA in May. It definitely happened before June 11th. Also, I think Idol has wanted him all along, even since last year. |

The teaser was genius..this official vid....ouch. Even Adam doesn't seem to fluffed up about it..'YAY'? I can see why they couldn't perhaps commit all these artists to Bonnie's teaser vid, but this attempt is paltry IMO. Wish I hadn't watched it. |

The mashed potatoes are messing with my head... I'm watching a stupid movie about aliens attacking (battleship) and a scene comes up with a small boy playing baseball as the catcher. He shows 4 fingers as a signal and I stop watching my movie to go figure out what 4 fingers mean. In Base ball:4 fingers are usually shown to communicate a change up, then google takes me to sign language. Where the 4 fingers mean B  I think I will go take my meds now.  You SO have company...LMAO that gif!!  |

Adam did get TP to Number 1. But it was only for a week. What counts is total sales over a period of weeks. To do that, Adam is going to have to have singles on the radio or else a total all out publicity campaign with lots of TV appearances.
Also I think some of you are overestimating the effects the change in Billboard's Hot 100 rules will have on an Adam single.
Yes, VEVO/youtube views, etc. are now taken into consideration. But the songs that get high counts from non-radio play are usually the same songs that get a lot of radio play OR else they are songs that go viral on social media, which then drives sales and convinces radio to play. Adam has never had a song "go viral" and that is a problem.
I really think Adam is going to need a very active push from his new label,with a lot of TV, to kick off any new release.

I agree that the opening scene with Bonnie oogling the young kid is a bit icky.....she's a pretty gal, but American "girl" is a bit of a stretch....now "American Woman" would be....oh wait...nevermind. Video aside....I love the song and think it will be a big hit! Catchy as hell! (I am NOT getting my hopes up re Idol....nope....you guys had me convinced last year....and we know how that turned out! ![]() ) |
