Great topic Q3, and a great choice to start with Bridgeymah. I discovered Eva Cassidy through a similar thread at another fan site several years ago, a really beautiful voice. My other immediate choice would have been K D Lang, and she's also featured already! Considering I prefer male singers with lower voices, it's interesting that the first two that came to mind are 2 female singers. A voice I've loved is from a Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter. Unfortunately he has taken a break from a music career and is now studying business at the University of Pennsylvania. This is one of the most recent performances of his I could find. While he has studied musical instruments for many years he apparently has not had vocal lessons, but there's something about the tone of his voice that I love. Very nice, indeed.

The second Adam episode of GLEE -- Episode 5-5 is titled "The End of the Twerk". ETA: Holst -- your post inspired today's discussion theme!

Adam said at one of the radio promo appearances that he doesn't like to swim and doesn't do it. Guess that infinity pool didn't entice him for that kind of exercise anyway. I hope he and Sauli made use of it, though.

My two cents worth -
Ann Wilson - surely belongs way up there - how was she was missed in 2008 Rolling Stones list?
k.d. Lang - would love to hear a duet with her and Adam.
Linda Ronstadt - another beautiful and versatile singer who I would like to see get her due.

Linda had a beautiful voice - she recently revealed she had lost her ability to sing due to effects of Parkinson's disease. Very sad.

I'm not overanalyzing it. I simply like or don't like what I hear. Absolutely... I'm a massive Stevie Nicks stan, I wouldn't say her voice is great but it just makes my ears happy Ditto to both comments ^^.. Love that Peter Gabriel duet with Paula that was posted earlier and Jeff Buckley.. had that song in one of my playlists already.

So far the "favorite singer" YouTubes that I've liked the most today are Chris Cornell, Black Sabbath (with replacement singer), Jeff Buckley, Kalan Porter, and Jorn Lande (sort of). I don't know that I'd like all their music, but liked the voice. Thanks to those who posted them.
