WOW! Beyoncé Land @beyonceland BEYONCÉ has sold 500k in its first 48 hours! Chart News @chartnews US chart preview: #1 Beyoncé, @beyonce 600,000. ETA: People can try to duplicate this, but it will not be possible. I am sooooo faaaaar out of touch - checked it out - meh. Guess that's why my iPod has no Beyonce on it. I agree, nica! Which is why I am expecting a more eclectic album, like FYE was. Are there really a lot of Adam fans who will not buy a great pop album by Adam? I don't think so. Adam's biggest selling tracks are Adult Pop WWFM and Pop IIHY. The rockish tracks from FYE were not big sellers compared to the pop tracks. Trespassing has very little rock on it. And Cuckoo, which was not promoted is #6 of Adam's tracks on iTunes based on pop bars. The top 11 are...include 1 rock track. The rest are pop, pop-rock or dance-pop. WWFM IIHY FYE No Boundaries ??! But I am sure there are lots if people dying for him to do a rock album. Which is why I think an eclectic album would be perfect! Me? I'll buy anything he does, as probably all of us here will! Good question. Of course, we don't know. My guess, is if the album is dance oriented, like the last one, then I think he is tying into the same 10 - 20 K people, who generated the 80K US record sales for him last time. Give or take a few thousand who have rediscovered him since (Glee, etc). But, if he truly puts out a rock album, I think that his sales will soar. I think there are a lot of people waiting for him to do more rock, and it also would create an automatic news cycle for him, if he did that. My guess, is he could probably double his sales, if he would do that. But, as always, Adam's heart needs to be into it. Btw, I have absolutely no insight and I am pulling these numbers out of thin air. Alright, same question back to you. ETA: More rock with Adam never has to mean only rock. There can be ballads, there can be a funky track, there can be cross-over into alternative music or pop, I just mean more rock centric, without boxing things too much in. This would mean fans bought an average of 4 to 8 copies each. Many people here bought multiple copies but I don't think that is true of most. There are many younger fans who can't afford that. I don't know if that makes the fanbase bigger or a large fragment bought in excess of 8 copies. |

Hey Everyone!  With all this awesome news about 2014 being revealed, I just wanted to delurk to be part of this Adam-loving community. I have been reading these news threads every day for about a year now and I'm so glad I found this place.Like most of you I'm constantly amazed by the talent that Adam is and actually discovered this forum because I stumbled upon the Masterclass thread and was blown away by the knowledge that was provided there ( shoutout to Cassie and everyone that made it this great  ). So there I was and boy did the rest of Adamtopia live up to it! I have yet to see Adam live but with the upcoming Queen mini-tour I'm staring to hope that I might just do that in 2014  |
