Just for having the guts to release "I Kissed a Girl" as her first single and for the "Adam Lambert" cape and for writing and singing "Firework", Katy Perry will always have a special place in my heart. I remember hearing some within idol who were not ok with her showing biast, but that cld of been some butthurt idol fandoms haha. Hopefully they collaborate in the future. Yes yes yes please God please Buddah please SpongeBob please please please (and if anyone even thinks of implying collaborating with Katy Perry is beneath Adam I'mma smack you with a fish)

Interesting! I clicked that link to the Celebrity Net Worth and search for other idols, here's what I got:
Adam's Worth 10million
Kris's worth 2.5 million
Cook's worth 5million
Kelly's worth 28million
Carry's worth 55million
There're none for Archuleta & D. Gokey

Hi Lady M - glad you are one of the Melvin fans Hi! sweetheart Every Sunday I was watching it on a normal TV and on the Foxtel weekly. I think tonight I re-watched on my computer a few episodes. My boys say that this is a children's show, no matter what they say I'm doing and I'm watching what I like ..

OT but I'm so excited I needed to share my story. My brother (who I go round and round with about Adam...but he does admit Adam has a good voice) came into town (he lives in Florida) and over dinner I told him that Queen was getting ready to announce that they will be doing some performances again with Adam and if they come to the US I am going! My brother says if they perform anywhere in Florida come down and I'll go to the concert with you!! I was so surprised....he said get good seats and we'll all go!! I can't believe he'll actually go...I am so ready!! Now I have to keep my fingers crossed that Adam/Queen will do a concert in Florida! Well...if they do any in the Mid-West I'll go again!! OH! Yeah!!

Since they both love Queen, maybe it could be when the GRAMMYS finally decide to give Queen a lifetime achievement award.

I wouldn't expect an ill quarterback, ballerina, chef, accountant, etc.etc. to be at the top of their game. Same goes for a singer. I'm cutting KP a break. I love her - and her singing. Everyone has an off day now and then. I give her credit for performing. Go Girl! Sorry but this is not the first time. I like Katy but her performance of Firework on UK X Factor last year was excruciating....worse than yesterday. And yet her X factor performance of The One That Got AWay was lovely. It just shows that singers have their limitations......except Adam who sings everything perfectly. I think he makes it look too easy...people don't realise the skill and natural talent involved in getting it right in a way that seems so effortless.

well, ladies, I just want to share something I learned here: the most important skill for a singer is to write his/hers own songs... the rest doesn't matter cause everyone can sing... In the real world none of that matters. Music is very subjective and not everyone likes a technically skilled singer because it just doesn't feel real to them. Hitting the right notes is fine but I don't think it matters. Artists like Katy Perry, Rihanna never claim to be great singers but yet they keep getting those #1 hits because they found an audience that connects with them. Music is about connection. I don't think it's fair to expect them to be perfect singers. Some people say Adele is a great singer but I can't stand her voice. The same is said about Adam. Most people think he's a great singer but some still hate his voice. Bottom line it's about making music that connects with people. I would posit that if those artists weren't auto tuned to hell and gone on their records but recorded "live" so to speak there would not be much connection going on, but lots or ear plugs being yanked out. You used Adele and great case in point - even if you don't like her voice (and count me as one who can take it in small doses only), girl can sing (on key)! Sorry and YMMV (and probably does) but there are lots of things that are up for grabs re subjectivity of music and singers, but I'm with Cassie on this one. We can differ on style of music, tone of voice, delivery of songs but surely we can all come together on the basic cost of entry being singing on key... these people are professionals, not performing at the open mic night at the local cafe. I might love my accountant (he's irish who wouldn't) but if he couldn't find the bottom of a balance sheet without technology to assist him he wouldn't be getting anything from me (my time, attention or my money). #carry on.

I love how she supported Adam on Idol and went to a red carpet with him when he was first starting out. Sooo....please don't smack me with a fish!

I always wondered about this too as I used to check this site often and remember when it used to be $5 million for many years. I thought I remembered a comment someone made on that site recently saying that it had to be more since he had those shows with Queen and his WAF tour. I can no longer find that comment anywhere but maybe it caused the people at celebritynetworth.com to do more research on him. ETA: Here is another site. www.theirnetworth.com/Musicians/Adam_Lambert/ It says $6.5 million. So I have to believe it is more than $5 million now. I remember this exact same thing....where in response to comments, they upped the estimate from $5m to $10m at a stroke so I don't think this can be very scientific. This prompts me to say that, when discussing the rights and wrongs of Adam with Queen - isn't the money an important consideration? He doesn't know how long he will be earning big bucks so perhaps he is just trying to maximise his earnings when the opportunities arise. He isn't at the point yet where he can afford to turn down major earning opportunities, which I assume this is. Does anyone have any idea how much Glee would pay? I wouldn't know if it was $10k or $100k an episode..... Last I checked a month ago he was still at $5 Million. So this was a recent update. They updated a few others also. I don't know how they come up with their figures because they don't say but a person's net worth would be the the value of their home, car, savings, investment ,retirement accounts. Add all that up and than subtract all your debts. What your left would be your net worth. Money is most definitely an important consideration for Adam and Queen. The big Glee stars Lea Michelle, Chris Cofler and Darren Criss make about 75K an episode. I would think Adam as a guest star is probably getting about 50K an episode.
