He is his own business! He is an entertainer, very much a "freelancer" like in many businesses. Has been for years.  His team works for him, management, lawyers, accountants are the best and they are in LA. |

Or as I've always thought just foolish. Perhaps we will have a better understanding when Shosh gets to town not that I expect Adam to give us "details", but wouldn't that be nice.

Bringing this over from end of dead thread. Not that it is that important, but would like opinions on release question. I know no one knows anything for sure, but just curious on guesses, hunches. He can bootstrap the funding for a tour and minimize the risk with deals with promoters. Same for his merchandising -- he can bootstrap that when he gets control which should be soon. On a label, I really doubt Adam will remain independent -- he will sign with a label so he has funding to work with "big producers" and they can help him get radio airplay. He understands the risk of the recording business and Adam seems financially risk adverse. ETA: This is not the first time Adam has talked about running a business. He did it in interviews when he was putting together GNT. |

two quick questions:
1. Are others here still able to log into AO? I can read there, but I cannot log in anymore. And not surprisingly, there seems to be no support, so no answer to message, I sent. Did anyone else try?
2. There was a picture once, where Adam stands of a sea shell and Prince and MJ are blowing in his direction and on the other side stands Freddie and is pulling Adam ashore. Did anyone save that picture? It uses Botticelli's Birth of Venus as pic and the rest is photo-shopped into it.

Interesting scenario from craazyforadam, but i don't see it happening that way. The one thing Adam has lacked is radio play. You need a label with an aggressive radio team to get that, if you are not one of the annointed ones (Katy, Bruno, etc.) Adam said he was talking to labels when he was on Ellen, I believe him. Shosh has hinted that he has a label in replies to fans. I could be wrong, but IMO, Adam needs a label. It is up to DMG to get him the best deal. I believe they can and have. ETA: If he wasn't meeting with a specific label, in NYC (cough"Island"cough) there would really be little reason for him to go there. LA is the center of the entertainment industry in the US. I am sure he could have made many business deals here for his brand without having to go to NYC. I am sticking with, he met with his label (cough"Island"cough.) They gave him the go ahead on his demos and new music is coming soon! Totally agree. I will be SHOCKED (and more than a little disappointed)if he doesn't sign to a major label. I think his "small business" tweet is not as deep as some are making it out to be. I think he was just acknowledging all he has to offer as an artist/performer. |

One other thing that might have inspired Adam's business tweet -- year-end financials for his businesses -- and he has several business entities. Just a not so glamorous reason to be grateful because I think he had a very nice year!
