One would think that teams of management and attorneys worked on the contract/s for this tour- I don't think there's any way to make any sort of informed opinion on what the terms of those contract/s might be. There may be standard or common arrangements for tours and venues and so on, but the situation of "+Adam Lambert" is so specific to Queen and Adam that whatever agreement they came to is known only to them, their management, lawyers, and bank account. Until Adam discloses what arrangements were made for financial compensation I pretty much think we're just wasting time speculating. Not that it's not fun, but we don't come from a place of inside information. Do we know what Paul Rogers' arrangement was? I'd bet that this operates similarly- not that the numbers are the same, just the way that they come to them. I doubt we will ever know anything about the Queen and Adam Lambert Tour contracts. How much will Adam make? A lot. I really doubt that there is much in common between Adam's deal and the Paul Rodgers deal for this North American Tour except that the have retained the same convention for how to handle the billing. The concert business in North America is radically different now. This tour is being done at a much higher investment level. *** Regarding Nile's broken DT -- this sounds like a song that did not make the album. Here are the only credits.... Credits Tensnake producer, composer Jacques Lu Cont co-producer Fiora vocals Nile Rodgers guitar Jeremy Glenn co-producer T

Has anyone else been reading Adam's twitter replies and noticed how thrilled the Persian Glamberts are by his New Year's tweet? That seating chart showed Merriweather PP with 15,000 seats sold and lawn remaining; actually its capacity is 4500 seats + 10,500 lawn according to Google. Diamond VIP GA & lawn are still available, so who knows how many they've sold so far. Maybe some people will hold off until they see a weather forecast for that night.

Hah Lilly, no Scottish talk. You must be sober babe!!!!!!!!!!!! 50K a performance? OMG! That is way too low! He gets over 100K now for his one offs! If he isn't making at least 150K a show, I'd be shocked. Unless there is a percentage in his contract. And to answer your question about how much the artists makes off of their shows, I read a great article last year, which I did not book mark, that said it is around 34% of the gross. There will be specific data on each show, from Billboard, once the concerts start. I think that $150K per show is too low. Adam is prob getting a guarantee per show plus a share of receipts over X% sold. And then there are all those VIP packs. So if he is getting 30% shares of the VIP add-on net and they sell 1,000 per show (I have not counted how many there are) -- that could be an extra $50,000+. Then there is concessions, programs, etc. etc. There is a dramatic difference between how much an artist makes for an arena show that sells 70% of tickets and 100% of tickets. There is also a dramatic difference between what Adam earn for his headline shows and what QAL prob gets. >> There are a lot of revenue streams associated with the concert tour, and one is UMG. Queen singed their new recording contract in December 2013 -- this concert was announced after that. And thanks to Brian's sharing bits, we know they "pushed the button" after that announcement. >> Most of the promotional expense appears to be soft costs -- like tickets to radio stations. Very little promotional expense to sell these out. On the flip side, putting together the staging for a tour like this, rehearsal expenses, etc. can easily top $500,000. So that is also a consideration. With the high start up costs -- increasing this tour from 19 to say 22 dates could really increase overall earnings -- as long as all the shows are in North America.

Someone suggested the other day that we do wristbands for QAL. Babs12 and I were talking yesterday, and thought about the KISS--keep it simple stupid--approach. How about picking a bright color (DAYGLO or Atop green for Adam's snake?) ribbon and wear it in one loop like the breast cancer symbol on our lapel or upper torso? The one loop sort of looks like an "A" for Adam or Atop.
That way each of us could bring our own 1/2inch to 1in wide ribbon and a safety pin and we'd be all set. I prefer lapel or torso because I think wrists are often difficult to see. (and interfere with jewelry). Day-glo Green probably would stand out against any AToppers outfit, and one such ribbon would work for all concerts.
What say you ATOP? Sound like a plan?

Unless and until Adam makes a deposit into my bank account from all the money he's making I personally couldn't care less what he is getting paid. I just want to listen to him sing and watch his sexy ass slink across the stage LOL I do care for some crazy reason : . I really, really want him to make LOTS, which is most probably the case here. BTW, I remember some interview from 2012 where Brian answered a $s related question with something in the vein of them not having seen profit yet... there is no way I can find that interview...was it the Moscow TV one? Obviously we have a very different scenario now, with many more dates, much larger attendance, different promo level, etc., etc.... A more pertinent question: are there any news re IZOD Center show?

Oh my! Thinking back to some of Adam's interviews the first year or so after AI. "Surreal", he said. Remembering his very successful GNT tour - dozens of stops, tour bus, back and forth across the country, crazy venues (Texas slaughterhouse comes to mind). Now - comparing that to what he's heading toward this summer - SURREAL!

These seat numbers make more sense! I was wondering how that "smallish" structure (a picture was posted here) could house 15K....

I personally am a bit confused at the need for this kind of tribal identification, and wonder if it stems from when there were AI colors during the live tour? I've also seen on twitter people calling out for folks to wear purple. This is not a criticism of this post, but made me remember my facepalm at the whole black & yellow Trespassing clothes thing. But I remember at a GNT someone (mamadeb?) seeing the glow of my purple Planet Fierce screen and us screaming in recognition. It was very cute. So to each their own, I will be most likely in work drag sadly as MSG is on a weekday! Carry on!
