I'm not sure if it's tribal or not, but those wristbands during GNT allowed me to meet many wonderful people from this forum--people with whom I still share rides, rooms, meals, etc. Some folks will be newbies at these concerts, and I want to give them a chance to connect. Obviously, this is totally voluntary. It is helpful to me to be able to see at a glance if someone is from the board, especially if they look familiar and I can't remember their "real life" name. So, 1/2 inch to 1 inch wide DAY-GLO green one loop lapel ribbons it is for those who choose to participate, which I hope many will.Looking forward to seeing ATOP "friends" and meet new toppers this summer. Green ribbon is great - I can probably concoct something at home, but looking for a DAY-GLO thingy of specific width is too much for me frankly... Can we simplify and just go for any green ribbon?

Maybe I can't read but where did you see the percentage that goes to the artist? theosgma The following paragraph from the "rockandrollguru" article makes a general statement about it. I've been reading quite a few articles the past couple days though, and I know there was more specific info about percentages the artists receive in other articles. Something in the 75% and up neighborhood. I will see if I can find those other articles. Below is a breakdown of who gets paid for putting on a concert. The band (or entertainer) takes a majority of the money, and rightfully so. They are the talent. They should be paid for entertaining us. However, there are many other people involved in producing a concert. They get paid as well. And that money all comes out of the sale of tickets.

Nica, sure thing. I just suggested size for OCD folks, so people don't feel they have to wear a Miss America sash or green bow-tie. I suggested Day-glo for ease of recognition. Another benefit, people will ask about the ribbons and it's a nice way to introduce them to Adamtopia.
So just a loop people, and we'll find each other. Buders, squeeing (discreetly?) is part of the joy.

so people don't feel they have to wear a Miss America sash or green bow-tie. Oh man, don't give people ideas! LOL. I've only met a few folks in RL but everyone has always been super kind. I wish I could be more of a concierge for out of town folks who are coming in for MSG but have to work. Hmm, will think of suggestions and put them in the MSG member concert thread.

Amazon.com is my friend. Type "lime green ribbon" in the search field and you will find lots of choices.
